<p><strong>Kevin Valadares, Ph.D.</strong>, is a <strong>Professor of Health Services</strong> at the <strong>University of Southern Indiana,</strong> where he serves as <strong>Chair of Graduate Health Administration</strong> and <strong>Chair of Health Informatics and Information Management.</strong> He came to USI in 2001 to help launch the university’s Master of Health Administration program, and his work has since expanded to include research and community engagement around advance care planning, emotional intelligence (EQ), loneliness and social isolation, and healthy aging. <p><strong>Deacon Rocky Mattingly</strong> is an ordained Catholic deacon assigned to <strong>St. Boniface Parish </strong>in Evansville, Indiana. Born in Alton, Illinois, he moved to Evansville as a child and later graduated from the University of Southern Indiana with a degree in psychology and sociology, with a minor in social work. Before becoming a deacon, Rocky worked in electronics, spent several years in television repair, and owned an embroidery and screen-printing business for 25 years. Today, his ministry includes visiting the sick, offering spiritual counseling, and assisting and giving homilies at Masses.
