Brian differentiates between toxic positivity and taking a strengths-based approach to personal growth. Brian has spent the last twenty years as a Master Facilitator working with some of the biggest Neuroscience based consulting companies to deliver Leadership, Culture Change, and Emotional intelligence workshops to multi-national companies around the world. He is the author of the book "Experts of Our Potential" a book focused on changing how we view our own value. His Tedx Talk "What a Fifteen Year Old Meth Addict Taught Me About Leadership" has been seen by over 2.3 million people around the world. He lives in Boise with his Wife Jamie, who just happens to be a Transpersonal Counselor. Alyssa gives a background of the personal struggles that led to her living with complex PTSD, and she details how her own journey to remission allows her to be more informative, compassionate and engaging with the clients and world around her. In this episode, Reece talks with Gabriela Álvares, a senior Communications Major at Quinnipiac University. The two discuss Gabriela's journey to overcoming the stigma of a Dyslexia diagnosis, as well as a few obstacles she faces as an international college student, living thousands of miles away from her biggest advocates. Gabriela will graduate in 2022 with a master's degree in Public Relations with a specialization in Social Media. After graduation, she aspires to be an ambassador and public speaker, advocating for the rights of those with Learning Differences.
