How do we become a Zion People

What does it really mean to build Zion?We often think of Zion as a future place—the New Jerusalem, a city prepared for the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. But in scripture, before Zion was a place, Zion was a people.“The Lord called his people Zion, because they were of one heart and one mind, and dwelt in righteousness.” — Moses 7:18 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DyGxTK5XPTc&t=438s)In this episode of Everyday Hallelujah, we explore what it means to become Zion—to become a people filled with the light and love of Jesus Christ. We’ll look at Enoch’s Zion, the warning in Doctrine and Covenants 84 about minds being darkened when we treat God’s word lightly, and the Lord’s invitation to receive more and more light until it grows “brighter and brighter until the perfect day.”We’ll also follow a beautiful pattern through the Book of Mormon—from King Benjamin, to the Waters of Mormon, to the ministry of the resurrected Jesus Christ, and finally to the Zion society of 4 Nephi. The pattern always leads us back to Christ. His word is truth. Truth is light. He is the source of that light. And as we choose Him, study His word, keep our covenants, repent, pray for charity, forgive, serve, and allow His love to fill our hearts, He changes us.Zion is built heart by heart, as ordinary disciples choose Jesus Christ again and again. And someday, when the King of Zion comes again, may He find a people who know Him because they have been choosing Him all along.🤍 Subscribe to Everyday Hallelujah for conversations centered on Jesus Christ, scripture, faith, and recognizing God’s hand in everyday life.#BecomingZion (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/becomingzion) #Zion (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/zion) #JesusChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/jesuschrist) #ComeUntoChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/comeuntochrist) #BookOfMormon (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/bookofmormon) #DoctrineAndCovenants (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/doctrineandcovenants) #LDS (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/lds) #LatterdaySaint (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/latterdaysaint) #ChurchOfJesusChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/churchofjesuschrist) #ScriptureStudy (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/scripturestudy) #ComeFollowMe (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/comefollowme) #GeneralConference (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/generalconference) #LightOfChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/lightofchrist) #Charity (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/charity) #FaithInJesusChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/faithinjesuschrist) #GatheringIsrael (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/gatheringisrael) #EverydayHallelujah (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/everydayhallelujah)

What If Women Saw Each Other the Way Jesus Does?

In this episode, we’re talking about judgment, comparison, shame, charity, and what it really means to be another woman’s cheerleader, even when her life looks different from ours.We look at the way Jesus treated women who were struggling, misunderstood, or judged by others, and ask a question that has stayed with us: When another woman walks into the room, do we see what everyone else sees, or do we see what Jesus sees?Moroni teaches that charity “suffereth long, and is kind… envieth not… thinketh no evil… believeth all things, hopeth all things.”What would happen if we became those kinds of women?Women who make room.Women who celebrate each other.Women who protect each other’s dignity.Women who point each other toward Christ.Women who teach the girls coming behind us that we are on the same team. 🤍#EverydayHallelujah (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/everydayhallelujah) #WomenSupportingWomen (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/womensupportingwomen) #ChristianWomen (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/christianwomen) #LDSWomen (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/ldswomen) #WomenOfFaith (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/womenoffaith) #CharityNeverFaileth (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/charityneverfaileth) #Moroni7 (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/moroni7) #JesusChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/jesuschrist) #ComeUntoChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/comeuntochrist) #FaithInJesusChrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/faithinjesuschrist) #ChristianPodcast (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/christianpodcast) #LDSPodcast (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/ldspodcast) #Sisterhood (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/sisterhood) #ChooseCharity (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/choosecharity)

What God Taught me about Fear

For months, the words of Psalm 23 kept coming to my mind as I walked through the temple grounds early in the morning. I didn’t know then how much I was going to need them. After a terrible dream about one of my children sent me spiraling into fear and dread, the Lord reminded me—in the most personal and beautiful ways—that He was near.God does not speak to us through darkness and fear. He speaks with love, light, peace and power.“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” — 2 Timothy 1:7This is my experience of how the Good Shepherd met me in my own little valley. ❤️#psalm23 (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/psalm23) #thelordismyshepherd (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/thelordismyshepherd) #jesuschrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/jesuschrist) #bookofmormon (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/bookofmormon) #everydayhallelujah (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/everydayhallelujah) #faithoverfear (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/faithoverfear) #godisnear (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/godisnear) #hearhim (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/hearhim) #trustgod (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/trustgod) #comeuntochrist (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/comeuntochrist) #lds (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/lds) #latterdaysaint (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/latterdaysaint) #christianpodcast (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/christianpodcast)
