Your go to for authentic conversations with people just like you and me. Because we all have a story. Life makes sure of that. Each episode explores the moments that shape who we are. We're celebrating the voices of ordinary people, because everyone carries wisdom worth sharing. I believe in the power of honest conversation-not for the sake of talking- but to help someone feel less alone. I've worked as a journalist, interviewed countless people and learnt how to listen with empathy. And now, i'm bringing those skills to the pod, to dive deep into the topics that matter to me the most.

The Holocaust Memoir She Couldn’t Open For Years| Noemie's Story

In this episode of Everyone Has A Story, I’m joined by Noemie, who made a remarkable transition from working as a doctor to dedicating her life to Holocaust education.

Noemie takes us back to her childhood—losing her father at just 12 years old and moving to England at 13.

The memoir her father had written shortly after the Holocaust was always there, a quiet presence in her life. She knew it existed, but for years, she wasn’t ready to open it.

When she finally did, everything changed.

That moment set her on a path she never expected—translating her father’s deeply personal account and dedicating her life to ensuring that stories like his are never forgotten.

In our conversation, we explore grief, timing, and what it means to confront the past, as well as the importance of Holocaust education today—especially in a world where Anti-Semitism is on the rise.

This episode is a powerful reminder that behind history are real people, real families, and stories that continue to shape generations.

🤝 Sponsors Of This Episode

Fusion Funding — Whether you’re acquiring, refinancing, or growing your property portfolio, Fusion Funding provides tailored property financing solutions—covering everything from commercial to residential portfolios, development projects and bridging finance.

📧 alex@fusionfunding.org.uk

📱 +44 7742 465491

🎙 If you’re enjoying the podcast, don’t forget to follow, share the episode with your friends and family, and leave a comment — I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Your support helps shine a light on important stories that might otherwise go unheard — because everyone has a story worth hearing.
