The Art of The Superpower: Charles Murphy

Recorded Sunday, July 27, 2020

Imagine being a super comic book fanatic turned reporter, then knowing what was going to happen in what would become the biggest box office film in history...but not being able to tell anyone about it. The comic book industry has reached new heights due to successes like Marvel Studio’s Avengers: Endgame, DC’s Wonder Woman & Aquaman. This “firenado” in pop culture has been fanned by the hardwork of scoopers, YouTube vloggers and the multitude of websites publishing this niche culture’s news & content. There is now a viable & monetarily lucrative news cycle to be considered by advertisers and contributors. This is “Charles Murphy” of Murphy's Multiverse.

Continue reading the article at www.everyonelovesagoodstory.com

The Art Of The Superpower: Doug E. Fresh (Part II)

In this second part of my first interview with Hip Hop Legend, Doug E Fresh, we continue our discussion about purpose. I also ask him about the persistent rumors that were also exacerbated by claims of another legend, Teddy Riley, that the former produced Doug E. Fresh's Hip Hop Classic The Show (featuring Slick Rick). We discuss our favorite comic book movies and other interesting stories. Have a listen and let us know what you think.

The Art Of The Superpower: Doug E Fresh (Part I)

The Art of The Superpower:

Doug E. Fresh

Hip Hop Legend, Entertainer, The Original Human Beatbox

Recorded Thursday, May 14, 2020

A lot of soul searching went into deciding this course of action, and this medium of exhibition. In the process of defining Everyone Loves A Good Story I began to think about how to share my love for comics. I wish there was some illustrious story to go with this but there isn’t. New York City was still under quarantine. I asked Doug E. Fresh via text if I could interview him. He said ok. After one re-scheduling, another FaceTime just catching up, and another night waiting until 2AM for him to finish talking to D. L. Hughley, we commenced my first ever interview talking about everything from our love for comic books to Teddy Riley claiming to produce his first classic, The Show; audio only.

I planned on dropping this interview prior to the passing of our beloved, Chadwick Boseman. Since the announcement, I have been emotional, sad and finding myself studying how Chadwick was able to do so much work at such a high level while suffering from colon cancer and the chemotherapy that was used to treat it. The answer glared at me with one word. The same word that I think of when working on this interview, and inherently this series; purpose.

We all have a purpose in life. Some of us find it earlier. Some find it later on in life. Some never find their purpose. Judging from the effects Chadwick Boseman had on all our lives, he found his purpose early on and was able to unravel many layers of it. My hope for this series, is to inspire, educate, and entertain. If I do that, I hope to acquire donations for our fledgling group & nonprofit charity, The MCU Society™️.

Our hope is to continue the work of helping underprivileged people with genius talent that want to work in the comic book industry; just like Denzel Washington helped a young Chadwick Boseman once. Albeit, we do not know if Chadwick knew he wanted to work on a superhero film like Black Panther one day, but we do know had it not been for people with the means to help him along his way...he may never have achieved it.

Please subscribe here and on YouTube. Follow in IG, Facebook & Twitter. We will be able to chat and improve this forum together. All constructive criticism is welcome. Thank you for taking the time to read and to listen. All interview, booking and promotional inquiries can be directed to everyonelovesagoodstory@gmail.com.

All inquires concerning donations for charity can be directed to themcusociety@gmail.com.

You can hear Part II in the exclusive bar on www.everyonelovesagoodstory.com for a limited time.

Be well, be whole, be blessed Beloved and thanks again,

Mint God

Mixed by Apex Hustler Media
