One Thing: Have You Lost Your First Love for God?

Is God still your “One Thing”… or has something else quietly taken His place? In this powerful message, “One Thing,” we’re challenged to examine where our hearts truly are. Jesus commended the church in Ephesus for their hard work, perseverance, and sound doctrine—but He also exposed one devastating truth: they had abandoned their first love. It’s possible to be busy serving God while slowly drifting away from intimacy with Him. Through Revelation 2 and Psalm 27, this message reminds us that what captures our attention eventually captures our hearts. God isn’t simply looking for our activity—He’s after our affection. Whether you’re feeling spiritually dry, distracted, or simply longing to hear God’s voice again, this sermon will encourage you to return to the place where your relationship with Jesus first began. In This Message You’ll Discover: How distractions slowly pull us away from God Why activity can never replace intimacy with Jesus What it means to return to your first love The biblical meaning of making God your “One Thing” How your attention shapes your affection—and ultimately your destiny Why God is still speaking and how to recognize His voice Practical steps to rekindle your passion for Christ Key Scriptures: Revelation 2:1–7 Psalm 27:1–6 ⸻ 🙏 Partner With Evolve Nation If this message has impacted your life and you’d like to help us continue reaching people with the Gospel around the world, you can give securely here: ❤️ Give Online: https://www.evolvenation.org/give (https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbTVhdkZ6bEpUTlFUT2tZbW1BTXRPMUZJdGhNZ3xBQ3Jtc0ttaXRMOU9WbFJoaDVwOHdfbzlLQXFKVjQ1am9TbmJGanA2RmxDOXN1SWlJMFZUR0dzcVY0TVNxX2FKdy01SEwwWHd6Sk1yeV8zSGllN280S2d2eU5ITThRei1HSmY1QWQ0QTg4Ukc4enI0SnRmSkpYZw&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.evolvenation.org%2Fgive&v=TiJ7-iSZw1s) ⸻ 🌍 Stay Connected 🌐 Website: https://www.evolvenation.org (https://www.youtube.com/redirect?event=video_description&redir_token=QUFFLUhqbmNOYlRRdHlpMGtKTEhLaFIycWlRbVFnNDhaQXxBQ3Jtc0tsNTVWRUdpd0dZRDlDS01GNmJsejlYTGQwY2RIeGFacS03dE5NUXZhdmd2WjhMdEU2QmhReGtmMmFGRnpsNlAxSjZxWEpsczNvQkJvX1lMY21OQnowQTduM1A0cUhSQXEwY3BvQjYyakV4OEpRcVdVTQ&q=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.evolvenation.org%2F&v=TiJ7-iSZw1s) 📸 Instagram: @evolvenationmke 📘 Facebook: @evolvenationmke 🎥 Subscribe for new sermons, biblical teaching, and encouraging content every week. ⸻ 👍 If this message encouraged you, be sure to Like, Comment, Share, and Subscribe so more people can encounter the hope found in Jesus. #OneThing (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/onething) #FirstLove (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/firstlove) #ChristianSermon (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/christiansermon) #Revelation2 (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/revelation2) #Psalm27 (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/psalm27) #Jesus (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/jesus) #BibleTeaching (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/bibleteaching) #ChristianLiving (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/christianliving) #Faith (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/faith) #Worship (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/worship) #Prayer (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/prayer) #Church (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/church) #EvolveNation (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/evolvenation) #Pastor (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/pastor) #RelationshipWithGod (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/relationshipwithgod) #BiblicalTruth (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/biblicaltruth) #SpiritualGrowth (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/spiritualgrowth) #HolySpirit (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/holyspirit) #ChristianYouTube (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/christianyoutube) #BibleStudy (https://www.youtube.com/hashtag/biblestudy)

How to Overcome Burnout God’s Way | Everything You Need Is Already in the Father’s House

Are you emotionally exhausted, spiritually drained, or struggling with burnout? In this powerful teaching, the Evolve Pastors unpack what God’s Word says about burnout, compassion fatigue, identity, peace, and the resources already available to every believer through Christ. Pastor Bryan begins in Matthew 19 by exposing how burnout often starts when we rely on our own strength instead of trusting God. Through the story of the rich young ruler, we discover that burnout isn’t always about doing too much—it’s often about holding onto the wrong things. Pastor Vonnie continues by examining Jeremiah’s life and the reality of compassion fatigue. Learn why carrying burdens that belong to God can leave you emotionally exhausted and why isolation is never God’s answer for a weary heart. Pastor Charmon closes by reminding us that everything we need is already in the Father’s house. Through Scripture, you’ll discover four gifts God has already provided: • Identity • Peace • Power • Acceptance The truth is simple: You don’t have to earn what Jesus has already secured. You don’t have to manufacture what God has already given. You don’t have to live burned out when God has already made provision for your life. If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed, tired, discouraged, or spiritually empty, this message will encourage you to receive what God has already placed within your reach. 📖 Scriptures: • Matthew 19:16–30 • Jeremiah 8:4–22 • Jeremiah 9:1–2 • John 14:2, 14:27 • 2 Peter 1:3 • Romans 8:15–17 • 2 Timothy 1:7 • Acts 1:8 • Ephesians 1:6 • Romans 5:1 🙏 If this message encouraged you: 👍 Like the video 💬 Share what spoke to you most in the comments 📲 Subscribe for weekly biblical teaching and life-changing messages. ❤️ Support the ministry: https://www.evolvenation.org 🌐 Website: https://www.evolvenation.org 📱 Follow Evolve Nation: Instagram: @evolvenationmke Facebook: @evolvenationmke TikTok: @evolvenationmke #Burnout #ChristianBurnout #SpiritualBurnout #Faith #Jesus #BibleTeaching #ChristianSermon #IdentityInChrist #CompassionFatigue #RestInGod #ChristianLiving #EvolveNation #PastorBryan #PastorVonnie #PastorCharmon
