   eXchanging Eternal Truths 158 - Rethinking Repentance

   What if repentance isn't about trying harder to be good, but about changing the way we think about God, ourselves, and what Jesus has already done for us? What if we've been so focused on our sin and shortcomings that we've missed the freedom Jesus provided through the New Covenant? In this episode of eXchanging Eternal Truths, Heather Lancaster welcomes Pastor Chris Barhorst of True Life Church in Greenville, Ohio, back to the podcast to explore a different understanding of repentance under the New Covenant. Pastor Chris explains that the biblical word for repentance, metanoia, means to change our mind, and that Jesus called people to "repent and believe" rather than simply repent and behave. Could our constant need for distraction be keeping us from hearing His voice?
