   Forbidden Fruit.

Today I pulled out a mixtape I made about 15 years ago.
Still one of my absolute favourites.
A tape made for cold autumn days — tender, warm, a bit melancholic, but in that way that feels like a soft Horse-blanket around the soul. What I love most is the way it flows.
Those little cuts and transitions… like a Kubrick or Truffaut Movie…

It’s storytelling through sound — a very intimate tape. It’s full of warm-hearted tracks from artists like Gravenhurst, Romy Schneider, Astor Piazzolla, Turner, Whitest Boy Alive, CocoRosie, Sebastien Tellier, The Cure, Manfred Krug… PS: The artwork isn’t mine. I found it somewhere back then and used it purely for personal, non-commercial purposes. If the original artist ever stumbles across this — please know: no harm intended, only appreciation. Hallo. It's Classic-Mixtape Time! Playlist: 01 The Cure - all Cats are grey (Elektra) 1981 02 The whitest Boy alive - Don't Give Up (Asound/Bubbles) 2006 03 Shuggie Otis - Aht Uh Mi Hed (CBS) 1974 04 Apparat - Arcadia (Shitkatapult) 2007 05 CocoRosie - Noah's Ark (Touch and Go) 2005 06 Wim Mertens - Fernglänzend (PIAS) 2005 07 Turner - The Apartment (Ladomat 2000) 2002 08 Sebastien Tellier - La Ritournelle (Mr Dan's Mix) (V2 Records) 2006 09 Manfred Krug/Günther Fischer - Komm und Spiel mit mir (Amiga) 1973 10 Astor Piazolla - Libertango (Polydor) 1974 11Avril - Urban Serenade (F Communications) 2004 12 Modeselektor - Déboutonner (BPitch Control) 2007 13 Eden Ahbez "Nature Boy" - Full Moon (Del-Fi Records) 1960 14 Trentemøller - While The Cold Winter Waiting (Poker Flat Recording) 2006 15 The cinematic Orchestra - That Home (Ninja Tune Rec) 2007 16 Philippe Sarde feat. Expand your Mind-FM 50 GLOW

Expand Your Mind-FM 50 – GLOW A new mixtape is in town. After Number 49 CIAO — which told the story of slowly saying goodbye to a Love (still available on Soundcloud and Mixcloud) — comes something very special for me: It’s the 50th mixtape I’ve made. (Not even counting the personalized ones I’ve created for someone special along the way!) Ok ok, It took me nearly ten years to shape the last ten tapes — but hey, I still believe a passionated Hobby doesn’t need a deadline. GLOW is Part One of a trilogy called The Evolution of a Night Out. This first chapter tells the story of friends meeting, getting ready, and glowing up for a night of dance. Two hours filled with classic House, Disco, and a little too much Italo Disco — just the way I like it. And what did I learn while creating this one? That we all should go out more often. Meet good friends. Laugh louder. Dance longer. So, call a friend, pour a drink — and turn off your phone. Expand your Mind-FM 49 - CIAO

A new Mixtape curated for you. And yes, it’s all about Love. But nothing sad, or full with love songs… its more about how love follow us trough our whole life, Love that gives and takes, that stays, fades, and returns in new forms. The quiet thread that connects everything we’ve been and everything we’ll become. Ciao A farewell in gentleness and sound. Shades of grey with a touch of apricot – like memories as they begin to heal. For what was. For what remains. And for what’s yet to come. I say goodbye – with love, not bitterness. A chapter closes, yet the feeling stays human. Thank you for the time that was ours.
