Podcast Overview

How would it feel to have deeply connecting conversations with the most important people in your life? And what if, just by having more conversations about love, we could all lift love on the planet? We’re calling our first season 12 Experiments in Love. It’s an opportunity to explore how ‘love’ shows up in all kinds of relationships – not just romantic ones, but the moving, messy, everyday kind that sit at the heart of family, work and home. Each month we’ll share a conversation with people who care about each other and are willing to explore what love looks like in practice: the quirks, the compromises, the quiet (and loud acts) that keep things going. It’s all about sharing real-life stories that inspire listeners to have their own conversations with their most important people, and to offer practical suggestions to lift love consistently on a daily basis.

Sisterly Love

Healing Together Through Trauma

In this episode of The Expanse of Love Dialogues, Christopher Miller interviewed sisters Christi Byerly (Awaken Coach Institute) and Kathryn Masso (Life Coach) about their lifelong sibling relationship. The sisters shared their early memories of a close bond formed in childhood, particularly during challenging family circumstances, and discussed how their relationship evolved through teenage hood and adulthood. They described how their connection transformed from a childhood trauma bond to a deeper, more authentic adult friendship, marked by mutual support and understanding. The sisters, who are both trained coaches, explored how their professional expertise influenced their personal relationship dynamics, particularly around setting boundaries and maintaining autonomy. They discussed the unique aspects of their sibling bond, including shared friendships and the ability to provide non-judgmental support to each other, especially during difficult life events. The conversation concluded with reflections on love's infinite nature and how they both consistently cultivate and receive love in their lives.
