Rebuilding a sunken electric expedition boat
<p>The Knut is an all-electric aluminum expedition boat, and we have made a <a href= "https://www.explorenorth.no/podcasts/podcast159-going-green-in-greenland"> podcast with Ben Ruffieux</a> about the innovative boat and how it sank in Greenland. To my surprise, I saw Ben and the Knut when I arrived in Lorient, France, with the Witness. He has been working hard to weld the boat together in Greenland, sail it without an engine to Lorient, and now is rebuilding the whole boat inside. Etienne goes purple around the world
<p>Etienne Messikommer is following in the wake of his heroes when he starts in the Golden Globe Race 2026 in September. We met Swiss and his very colorful boat in Brest, France, where he is making the final preparations. Statsraaden kjemper for havet
<p>Jens Joachim Hiorth er skipper på Bergens stolthet Statsraad Lehmkuhl.
