<p>The experience economy is valued at $12 trillion, with people looking to maximize their experiences through hospitality, special events, and participatory and spectator sports.</p><p>Eye on the Experience Industry takes a close look at the experience industry through the lens of the College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CoHST) at Niagara University. Each episode will feature insight in the industry from alumni, faculty, students, and partners from the college.</p><p>Niagara University’s College of Hospitality and Tourism Management (CoHST) offers undergraduate degree programs in hotel and restaurant management, sport and recreation management, and tourism and event management, as well as a graduate program in sport management.</p><p>Students from the CoHST have access to leading regional, national, and international companies through the college, which provides them with opportunities for internships and life-changing relationships. <p>Founded in 1927, the Club Management Association of America (CMAA) is the largest professional association for club management professionals. Its 6,800 members contribute to the success of more than 2,500 country, golf, athletic, city, faculty, military, town, and yacht clubs. </p><p>Niagara University’s CMAA Student Chapter, which was established on March 30, 2006, will see a change in leadership next year. We recently had a chance to chat with Molly Passow, the out-going president of NU’s chapter, and Althea Simmons, who will now serve as president of the organization. </p>
