Auf Hestaland bei Borgarnes treffen wir ein Jahr nach unserem ersten Gespräch abermals mit Guðmar Þór Pétursson zusammen und hören von der speziellen Kombination seines Hofes als professioneller Trainingsstall, gemütliches Urlaubsquartier und Basis für fantastische Treks und Workshops. Guðmar erklärt mit zusätzlichen Details seine Philosophie der Ausbildung rund ums Islandpferd und wie er dem Ideal vom "Thinking Rider" möglichst nahekommen will, während Hestaland zugleich höchstes Service-Level und "Great Experiences" in der Kombination des Reitens z.B. mit Fotografie und Literatur, Kochen und Stricken in Einklang bringt. / One year after our first sit-down we meet once again with Guðmar Þór Pétursson at Hestaland and listen to him describe not only what makes this venue so unique when it comes to training, accommodation and fantastic treks and workshops. Guðmar also explains in even greater detail his philosophy of how having a "thinking rider" benefits horse welfare and how together with his team at Hestaland he keeps striving for the highest level in guest service while creating "great experiences" in combining riding e.g. with photography and literature, cooking and knitting.
