Hi, we’re Dylan Dahle and Ben Clarkson, and we are F For Effort. We will be exploring the unknown of what it is to be alive, picking the minds of people both known and unknown to us, reveling in their successes and learning from their failures.
You might be thinking, what qualifies us to run such a podcast? Well, we’re two actors trying to make it; between the two of us, we’ve taken one sociology class; above all, though, we are just extremely curious people.
Join us in our journey into the unknown... you won’t regret it!
FOLKS!
We’re back.
Better than ever.
And we’re now LIVE with Season Two, Episode Four of F For Effort!
This episode covers the life of Autumn Dewey, a fellow podcaster and EARLY as FUCK college graduate! She is a bright light in a world that can, at times, seem dark as night. We were so lucky and honored she wanted to come on the show, so here’s our recording sesh with her! We talked about life as an early graduate, post-college plans, her podcast: Get It Twisted, and much more! We hope you enjoy, and, as always, please send us a text, email or DM if you’d like to be on the show… We’d love to have you! Stay tuned for our next podcast that will be VIDEO’D (😱) for a good friend’s videography midterm; hopefully we’ll be able to persuade the guest-in-question that this is just flat out fun. Nothin’ too serious. It’s all jokes, folks, all jokes.
You can listen to F For Effort on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, iTunes, Radio Public, Google Podcasts, and many more! Enjoy!

SEASON TWO, EPISODE THREE
WHAT IS UP DUDES AND DUDETTES.
It’s Monday.
First and foremost, this episode is dedicated to Kobe Bryant, Gianna Bryant, John Altobelli, Keri Altobelli and Alyssa Altobelli. May they rest in power and never forget the impact they had on each and every one of our lives.
Secondly, as promised, the first of the three episodes we recorded over our four-day winter break is being published TODAY, amigos.
Our guest on this episode was none other than Fernando Montenegro, affectionately known to the Reno population as @nanderrs! Absolutely, without-a-doubt THE best photographer with whom we’ve worked. Granted, he’s the only photographer we’ve worked with so far, but why fix something that isn’t broken? ;)
Nanders is the epitome of a self-made man, and we were so honored to talk to him. This is a longer episode, but it’s worth every minute to listen. So, whether you’re on a road trip, at a gym, or sitting on your couch trying to figure out what to do today, give it a listen. We go in depth on Nanders’ photography career, relationships, Marvel, Smash Bros. and more. We were SO looking forward to this interview… we hope you enjoy listening as much as we did talking. Enjoy!

SEASON TWO, EPISODE TWO
This episode was a first for F For Effort.
It features the inner thoughts and monologue of…
Wait for iiiiiittttttt…
Dylan Dahle.
Betcha didn’t see that one coming.
This week I did a solo episode because I was feeling stir-crazy and I kinda wanted to get some stuff off my chest. It gets jumbled, various tangents are made, and everything in between.
But.
If you can get through this episode, I promise there are some tiny nuggets of wisdom in the words.
“Today is your life. Live with intention. Speak the truth. Make mistakes. Take risks. Have an adventure. Embrace the journey.”
Click on the listen button above to see what I have to say about that quote, the importance of a close support system, the highs and lows of 2019, our upcoming Season Two guests, and being oneself unapologetically. I promise you won’t wanna miss it.
And to Ben — love you brother. It didn’t feel the same doin’ this one without ya. Sometime this week, for sure.

SEASON TWO, EPISODE ONE
HOLY F*CK.
Season 2. Episode 1.
On Thursday night, the night before one of the two of us (the successful one) left to Chicago, we had the PRIVILEGE, the HONOR and the most AMAZING time having future psychologist/actor/music-chooser-for-movies Jack Stanko on the show for the LONGEST podcast ever! Clocking in at two hours, twelve minutes and forty seven seconds, we shared the biggest laughs over mustaches, acting techniques, glasses and the platforms that popular culture idols can create.
Please do enjoy Episode One of the biggest, brightest and best season this podcast has now embarked on featuring @j.p.s.iii. We’re thrilled to have had such an awesome first guest of the second season; if it’s any indication as to how this season is going to go, we’re in for a real ride. All good things.
P.S. This episode was recorded in the very same building we are so longingly looking at in our new cover art. Fun fact. ;)

EPISODE TEN
In honor of Star Wars Day being yesterday, Episode X: The [Tenth] Recording of F For Effort is now available.
There has been a resurgence in podcasts everywhere.
Do you feel it?
We do.
This week, we had the absolute pleasure of having Scott DiBenedetto (@scooterd22) on the show, also known for his stand-up performances in Portland and Chicago AND for being the (insane) mind behind The Zoo Animation Series (the link for that YouTube channel is in our bio… you won’t be disappointed). Listen this week for an extensive episode where we talk all things comedy, animation, and the names to which we’d give comedy specials! Listen for one of the best interviews (and guests) we’ve had yet.

EPISODE NINE
Have you seen Avengers: Endgame?
If the answer is no, drop whatever you have in your hands (including your phone), get in a taxi, go to the nearest movie theatre, and contribute to the $1.2 billion that this single movie has already grossed over the past four days. After you’ve watched, refer to the ‘Yes’ answer.
If the answer is yes, EPISODE NINE of F For Effort, your FAVORITE podcast, is out now!
THIS. EPISODE. CONTAINS. MANY. SPOILERS.
Listen to us discuss Avengers, the James Bond franchise, another installment of Quote of the Week, and our weekly episode dedications that you won’t want to miss.. we already know that.

EPISODE EIGHT
GOOD MORNING.
It’s 9 AM on the West Coast.
It’s 11 AM in the middle of nowhere, Chicago.
It’s 12 PM on the East Coast, where our spectacular guest we had on this week is currently.
Listen to this episode.
You’ll hate yourself if you don’t.
In all seriousness, this week we had the amazing @lilswear on, and I think we can agree that four our first real structured interview, we had a ton of fun. Listen to us talk about the shitty cost of university tuition, grocery shopping adventures that college has brought upon us, and, as Olivia so eloquently puts it, “not giving a fuck” when it comes to chasing your dreams. Enjoy this episode of the world’s greatest podcast (or so we think).

EPISODE SIX
We were SO lucky to have the beautiful, talented and funny as hell Sidney Miller on the show tonight, and we couldn’t have done it without Dylan’s awkwardness and Ben’s wingman skills. Give it a listen — you won’t regret it. Listen to how she and Dylan first met, Ben’s mom, and of course, the couples’ pet peeves with each other. Available in all the places you usually listen! :)

EPISODE FIVE
In today’s episode, we talk about how YOU can become a guest on F For Effort, Charles Manson’s tattoos, Minecraft, facial hair and pre-workout — and our opinions on all of these subjects. Please enjoy and stay tuned for next week’s episode!
1 Apr 2019
EPISODE FOUR
This week on F For Effort, our guest is none other than Dylan’s oldest and best friend Blayne Givens! A future physical therapist, lover of CLASSIC comedy and one of the two people who was told he’d get his ass whooped on a train in Compton this past weekend, Blayne was a pleasure to have on. WARNING: MOVIE SPOILERS AHEAD. Check it out!
12 Mar 2019
EPISODE THREE
This week on F For Effort, we had Nick Scott! Nick is a computer science major at the University of Portland yet has had some insane technical difficulties, a myriad of college mishaps and his own grandmother is an acclaimed roast master. He also does not approve of my jokes. ENJOY OUR EPISODE WITH NICK!
2 Mar 2019
EPISODE TWO
This week on F For Effort, we had one of our closest and oldest friends on the show, Matt Murphy. Matt is very much a philanthropist, an entrepreneur of sorts, a vinyl enthusiast, an international traveler and, as you’ll hear, a bee rights advocate. We hope you enjoy our first formally informal interview!
