<p><strong>Ongeveer 5.2 miljoen kinderen zijn op de vlucht sinds de oorlog in Oekraïne uit is gebroken. Daarom startte de Europese Raad een campagne en dit trapten zij af met een tweet op 4 april: ‘bijna elke seconde wordt 1 kind in Oekraïne vluchteling’. </strong></p> <p>Als ijkpunt nemen wij 30 maart, ofwel dag 35 van de oorlog. Kom je dan uit op ongeveer 1 kindvluchteling per minuut? En wat betekent het als een onafhankelijke organisatie zoals De Raad misinformatie verspreid? Dit bespreken wij met Communicatie deskundige Lars Duursma. Factcheck Europa | Vriend Mark, wanneer mogen wij bij de EU?
<p><strong>De Oekraïense president Zelenski heeft al meermaals aangegeven bij de Europese familie te willen horen. Volgens Tweede Kamerlid Caroline van der Plas, van de BoerBurgerBeweging, kan dit niet. Zij twitterde het volgende: ‘’Heel opmerkelijk dat Zelenski Mark Rutte persoonlijk aansprak op zijn rol in toelaten van Oekraïne tot EU en niet als minister-president. Ik vond dat persoonlijk niet gepast, eerlijk gezegd. Elk land dat wil toetreden tot EU moet gewone procedure doorlopen. Geen uitzonderingen." </strong></p> <p>Wij focussen ons op die laatste twee zinnen. Moet elk land, in dit geval Oekraïne, per se een normale procedure doorlopen, of zijn er uitzonderingen mogelijk? Factcheck Europa | Pécresse en de veertig miljoen migranten
<p><strong>Valerie Pécresse, Franse presidentskandidaat, staat nu bijzonder laag in de peilingen. Een paar weken geleden deed Pécresse een uitspraak waar wij niet zo zeker van waren als zij. Pécresse zei in een interview dat er afgelopen jaar, 2021, veertig miljoen ongedetecteerde migranten de Europese Unie in zijn gekomen. Dat is ruim twee keer de Nederlandse bevolking. Hoe kan niemand zo'n groot aantal opgemerkt hebben? Hoe weet Pécresse dat aantal als het ongedetecteerde migratie is?
