Das Gotlandschaf - Interview / fairewolle Podcast Folge 20
<p>Diese Woche reisen wir gedanklich nach Schweden – genauer auf die Insel Gotland. Dort ist das Gotlandschaf zu Hause, ein Pelzschaf mit silbergrauen bis dunkelbraunen Locken, das viele auf den ersten Blick einfach nur knuddeln wollen.</p><p><br></p><p>Steffi und Daniel sprechen über die Herkunft der Rasse, ihre enge Verwandtschaft zum gehörnten Guteschaf und warum beim Gotlandschaf die Hörner weggezüchtet wurden. Es geht um die besondere Wolle, die sich hervorragend </p><p>zum Filzen eignet, um robuste Wollteppiche und darum, warum die erste Schur eines Lammes oft die feinste ist.</p><p><br></p><p>Außerdem ein kleiner Exkurs in die Schafzucht der DDR: Warum Pelzschafe importiert wurden, was der Devisenmangel damit zu tun hatte und wie dramatisch der Wollpreis nach der Wende eingebrochen ist.</p><p><br></p><p>Habt ihr selbst Erfahrung mit Gotlandschafen?
