Fairly Local - The Alma Leigh Interview
Alma has lived in many parts of the country and has traveled the world. She was raised right here in Oneonta Alabama, graduating from Oneonta in 1991. Alma's passion to encourage, inspire and motivate her audience is derived from her understanding of how it feels to be hopeless. She has affected hundreds of thousands people globally via her podcast From Fear to Love with Alma Leigh, her talk show “The Alma Leigh Show” based in Charleston SC, her social media influence, and her transformative resiliency experience “POWERshop” provided both online and in person. Her book "Flip! From Fear to Love" was born from her desire to create a tool for people to use as a measure of understanding their hopelessness and creating new path towards not just surviving but to thrive in joy! Her second book “But Who's Gonna Wipe Your A**” is a presumptive attempt to shake loose the rusty souls who have grown accustomed to their enmeshed belief sets about relational engagement. It challenges the reader to assess their own shortcomings and need for intervention before engaging in casual sexual relationships. Alma is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master's degree in Social work from The University of Southern California.
