FAITH LUTHERAN ALIEN RIGHTEOUSNESS SERMONS

About FAITH LUTHERAN ALIEN RIGHTEOUSNESS SERMONS

SERMONS & DISCUSSIONS ON CHRIST’S ’ALIEN’ RIGHTEOUSNESS CREDITED TO US Justification is a two-fold declaration of God that we are both ”Not Guilty” and also ”Perfectly Worthy” on account of Christ’s substitutionary death and meritorious life. God not only sees you just as He sees Christ, but you are personally united with Christ and His merit imputed through Word & Sacrament. Be ”fed with your ears” [Martin Luther] by Law & Gospel Preaching proclaiming Christ’s Person & Work, His ’Alien’ Righteousness, in Forensic Justification. Rest in the renewing of your mind as Scripture interprets Scripture through Christ in His unfolding story. Hear like ancient believers as Christ, the Word, that is both ’Author’ and ’Actor’, explains all that Moses, the Prophets & all the Scriptures say concerning Him.

DISCUSSION - Psalm 2 Unveiled: Jesus Crowned in Victory

This episode unpacks a sermon that reframes biblical texts like Psalm 2 and Proverbs as cosmic theology rather than personal self-help. It traces how the divine king's humble actions—culminating in the cross—function as a strategic victory over rebellious spiritual forces, transforming human suffering into participation in a larger redemptive story.Listeners will encounter how rituals like baptism and communion make this cosmic reality tangible and how adopting a macro perspective can empower loving service and resilience in everyday life.

SERMON - Psalm 2 Unveiled: Jesus Crowned in Victory

The pastor unpacks Psalm 2 and Luke 14 to show how Jesus is God’s anointed King who defeats sin and false powers, is vindicated by the Father, and is exalted over all creation. The sermon explains how believers are united to Christ—lifted from shame to share in his victory—and calls listeners to receive this status through faith, the sacraments, humble service, and patient suffering.

DISCUSSION - Elijah and the Widow: Resurrection at the Gate

This episode traces a recurring ancient narrative cycle of loss and restoration, starting with a forbidden rebuilding that triggers divine judgment and famine, and Elijah’s encounter with a starving widow whose son represents her entire future. The hosts show how that story echoes Eden’s fall and later climaxes in the New Testament—Jesus as the promised “seed” who restores humanity’s future—and they argue this pattern reinterprets communion as re-entry into Eden’s life.Listeners are invited to notice how interconnected biblical stories function as callbacks that transform individual scenes into a single, overarching redemptive plot.
