Are you accepting chaos or pursuing peace?

Are you accepting chaos or pursuing peace?? Boundaries help us get to a healthy place in our relationships! They help you stop feeling stuck & powerless. To be whole, to walk in your true identity. They help bring clarity to what is important to you, your needs & your values. 2 healthy hearts = 2 healthy relationships When there is unrepentant sin in your heart the effects flow over into your relationships. This is another reason it is so important to check your heart & your motives. Are they in line with truth? If not, repent & heal! Healing comes from the healer, Jesus! In healthy relationships you will find, 5-T’s -Trust -Truthfulness -Transparency -Tenderness -Team player: where you can hold each other accountable & hold each other close at the same time. Speak truth in love! Iron sharpens iron. You should be able to communicate what is important to you without offending someone. If your health & wellbeing is a problem for someone else’s ego, create space. Access vs responsibility. Don’t put it off, What needs to be addressed, or the trash will pile up! A great resource is Lisa Terkeurs, “boundaries & goodbyes.” Some key things I have learned, A boundary is for you! The Bible says above all else guard your heart for everything you do flows from it! Establish borders to protect your heart & what is important to you, your walk with Christ, your ministry, your health, your family & your future! If someone lack respect & understanding of what is important to you, then your responsibility is to create a guard. Boundaries are biblical, In the Garden of Eden when Adam & Eve where not responsible with the boundary God set. They had consequences & were separated from God. They did not honor the boundary set, they sinned against God. He set a clear boundary & when they disobeyed, He didn’t give them a warning, He quickly took action, explained to them the consequences & removed them from the garden & set up a gate with guards another boundary & this one they were never able to cross. God created space, he didn’t just limit their access, he eliminated it. Do you think that is harsh? He was actually protecting them, from themselves. Boundaries are for protection! And the boundary is around you & the access is determined by the respect the other person shows to your heart, to what is important to you! Jesus didn’t die for us to keep on sinning. He died so we can heal from our sins through access to the father. Sin separates us from God! Always has & always will! He is a Holy God. Light & darkness can coexist. If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone. Romans 12:18 Here are some tips to bring clarity Asses your values & what is important to you right now, then ask yourself if one of these are being violated? Who is violating them? Do they understand that these things are important to you? Are they compassionate to your needs? In healthy relationships, you have empathy & understanding for one another’s needs. We all sin at times & make mistakes. Repentance to one another is a sign of a pure heart. Repeated sin patterns that cause harm & dishonor what is valuable & important to you is a red flag & a clear sign of a unhealthy relationship. If a person is irresponsible with your heart, guard it! That is what we are called to do because what is being done to you will effect you & in turn effect those you are called to love, lead, teach, & minister to. Especially those in close contact with you. And idk about you but I want to give my precious children the best of who God made me to be! 0:00:00 "Exploring the Benefits of Establishing Healthy Boundaries in Relationships" 0:01:27"Creating Healthy Relationships: The Five T's of Lasting Value" 0:04:07 Establishing Healthy Boundaries in Relationships 0:08:35 "Setting Boundaries in Relationships: Tips for Bringing Clarity" 0:10:55 "Setting Boundaries in Relationships: How to Protect Your Heart and Mission"

"Showing Up When Triggered: Honoring God or Selfish Desires?"

Introduction: In this episode, we will explore how we respond when we are triggered and whether our responses are honoring to God or our own selfish desires. We will examine the conflict between the spirit and the flesh and how seeking God's guidance can help us form a habit of obedience to the spirit.Main Points: Seek God's Guidance: To honor God in our responses when triggered, we must ask Him, "what would you have me to do?" We must seek, ask, and knock as Matthew 7:7 instructs. The word of God has all the answers, and when we seek Him, we will find Him when we search with all our hearts. The Fruit of the Spirit vs. the Fruit of the Flesh: Galatians 5:16-23 compares and contrasts the fruit of the spirit and the fruit of the flesh. The fruit of the spirit includes love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. In contrast, the fruit of the flesh includes worshiping idols, hating others, being hard to get along with, adultery, jealousy, anger, selfishness, causing trouble, envy, drunkenness, and wild partying. We must ask ourselves which type of fruit we want to produce and what type we are currently producing. Responding in Trials: It's easy to honor God when life is going well, but responding in trials can be challenging. Sin has roots, and uprooting the strongholds in our lives is necessary. Sin not only hurts us but also our families, and it separates us from God. True repentance draws us to Him, and we must accept that we are sinners, acknowledge our sins, and take action by praying for God to show us the sin in our hearts and confessing it. Heart Attitudes: We must be aware of our primary sin nature and bring four heart attitudes to our awareness: anger, foolishness, fear, and despair. These heart attitudes are not functioning out of the fruit of the spirit and are counterfeit comforts. Instead, the spirit gives life, joy, peace, and loving water, and we must filter everything through the living word of truth. To honor God in our responses when triggered, we must seek His guidance, produce the fruit of the spirit, respond in trials with true repentance, and be aware of our heart attitudes. The greatest wisdom consists of respecting God, knowing what He wants, and doing it, as Proverbs 1:7 says. Let us obey God because there is life in the fear of Him. Thank you for tuning in to today's episode! I hope that you were able to gain some valuable insights into how you can honor God in moments of temptation and struggle. Now, it's time for some action steps. First, I want you to take a moment to reflect on the fruit that you are currently producing in your life. Are you seeing more of the fruit of the Spirit or the fruit of the flesh? Identify areas where you can improve and commit to asking God for guidance in those areas. Secondly, I want to encourage you to practice the triple-A's of true repentance that I shared in this episode - accept, acknowledge, and take action. Start by accepting that you are a sinner in need of God's grace, acknowledging your sins before Him, and taking action by confessing and repenting of those sins. And finally, I want to challenge you to filter everything in your life through the lens of God's Word. Let it be the standard by which you measure everything else. And when you're faced with a difficult situation, ask God for guidance and follow His instructions, knowing that there is life in the fear of God. Thank you again for listening, and I look forward to sharing more insights and inspiration with you in the next episode.
