Welcome to Faithfully Connected, where faith meets real life. Host Kim Walker shares heartfelt conversations about prayer, parenting, leadership, and purpose. Through inspiring stories and honest dialogue, you’ll discover how God shows up in everyday moments and how connection—to Him and to one another—transforms us. This is a welcoming space to grow, reflect, and remember you were never meant to walk alone.
Are you more comfortable giving than receiving? Maybe you can show up, serve, encourage, buy the thoughtful gift, and take care of everybody else—but the moment someone compliments you, helps you, or tries to give something to you, you brush it off, make a joke, or say, “Oh, you didn’t have to do that.”
If that sounds familiar, this episode is for you—because sometimes what looks like humility is actually our discomfort with being vulnerable enough to receive.
Today we’re talking about why receiving can feel harder than giving, how pride and vulnerability can quietly get in the way, and a simple P-R-A-Y practice that can help us receive God’s gifts—and the goodness of others—with open hands. Friend, God loves you, and He wants you to receive what He has already given.

Episode #9 A New Song + Some Vulnerability
What if the prayer you’ve been repeating is not proof that you’re stuck—but the place where God is beginning something new?
Maybe you’ve come through a long season of loss, grief, trauma, or striving. You love God. You trust Him. But if you’re honest, you’re tired—and you’re wondering whether there is still something ahead for you. If that is where you are today, this episode is for you.
Recently, I was sitting quietly with my Bible while the warm orange sun rose over my shoulder, and four words in Psalm 33 grabbed my attention: “Sing a new song.” I started wondering what new song my heart might have for God. But then He turned the message around on me. What if He has a new song for me? What if He is not finished—and this next season is not about recreating what was, but allowing Him to redefine what comes next?
Today, I’m sharing a little vulnerability, a childhood memory of holding my Daddy’s hand in a dark cave, and the picture God gave me of a path shaped like the letter Y. We’re going to talk about trusting the Father when you cannot see the whole road, releasing old definitions, and taking the next faithful step into something new. Because friend, God is not done with you—and He will not waste what you have walked through.

Episode #8 Don’t Jump
Have you ever felt that split-second urge to jump in—to fix it, defend somebody, explain yourself, rescue the situation, or make something happen before it all falls apart?
If that sounds like you, this episode is for you. Especially if you’re the woman everybody counts on—the one who loves deeply, notices everything, and is usually halfway into solving the problem before she has even stopped to ask God what He wants her to do.
Here’s the hard truth I’m learning: urgency and obedience are not the same thing. Just because something feels immediate does not mean God is telling us to move. Sometimes the most faithful response is not to act fast, but to become still enough to hear what God says.
Today I’m sharing a tender—and honestly, funny—moment from the day before my momma passed. I didn’t understand the lesson in that moment. But I do now.
Welcome to The Faithfully Connected Podcast. I’m Kim Walker, and every week I help Christians feel connected, love deeply, and lead faithfully—because none of us were meant to walk alone.
By the end of this episode, you’ll have a simple J-U-M-P framework to help you pause, remember who is really in control, make room for God to move, and pray before you proceed. So before you jump into the next thing that feels urgent, let’s slow down and ask one honest question: Is this reaction coming from anxiety—or from obedience?

Episode #5 When You Feel Like Your Light Is Dim
We all have days when our energy dips and our joy feels muted. It’s easy to think we’re not being used by God when we feel depleted. But here’s the truth: God doesn’t only use us on our best days.
Scripture reminds us that even on our dimmest days, we are still lights in this world. ✨
Remember, the light of the righteous shines brightly, even if it feels dim to us. Your presence, your words, and even your small acts of kindness can bring hope to someone who needs it.
Let’s embrace our imperfect days and keep shining. Because even a dim light can change the darkness.

Episode #2 Godly Gaps
In the hustle of life, it’s easy to focus on what we haven’t done, forgetting to celebrate the small victories and the journey we’re on. Just like I realized this morning, reflecting on the first quarter of 2026, that every step matters, even the small ones.
God meets us in our gaps, reminding us that it’s not about the doing but the being. Embrace those moments of stillness. They’re where growth happens.
Each morning is a fresh start, filled with promise and potential. No matter how tough yesterday was, today is yours to seize.
What’s one thing you accomplished this week that you’re proud of?
Let’s give ourselves grace and keep moving forward, together.
