Us as creators have the inept ability to deeply feel/connect to every moment. Although, as we got older we learned to surpress this beautiful gift. As if emotion is taboo, too much emotion is soft and our outward appearance must always remain un-scaved, tough, careless, confident. We forget that the gift of emotion, deep emotion allows us to tell stories that touch more than the ear, it touches souls. We are blessed, creatives! With a gift from God. Learn it,love it, and ask for guidance in the ability to use it correctly and boldly. This podcast is a verbal journal on my journey as an actress
Wow, wow, wow! Injustice, racism and hate towards black people is nothing new. Our history hidden in plain sight. Black people are angry and rightfully so. I choose to use my platform to share the beauty in my culture, the facts and history that has often been hidden or watered down. We are more than descendants of slaves, there is so much richness to us.
1. Garrett Agustus Morgan, Sr. - The three position traffic signal and a smoke hood.
2. Madam C. J. Walker - The first female self-made millionaire in America in the Guinness Book of World Records.

Ok, let's be real..
Creatives, lets be real with ourself for a moment. Let's check our bad habits at the door and honestly leave it there forever. This was on my heart to talk about due to me happening upon an old short I wrote back in 2017 that at the time I didn't realize how epic and amazing my work was. I was so good at being the biggest critic of my self I constantly told my self no. Looking back on it, I didn't do anything to service myself, benefit my self or give to my self to help grow my craft. And I am putting a stop to this very bad habit! We are a work in progress but we are working through this process!

To all my POC's out there
It's Good Friday ya'll! This one is to all my POC's out there, I thought i'd do a quick story time. I'm sure this has happened to many black women out there. But we must always remember how our feelings and voice matters, corporate or not. We shouldn't have to decipher between muffling our voice and our comfort for the sake of others. Don't touch my hair edition!

Adapting to Change!
Creatives! Welcome back to another episode! Ok, this week we're talking about adapting! As this change on a daily bases we cant sit idle waiting to be told what to do. We must hone the skill to adapt to change, continue moving and molding ourselves for the better! Let's chat about what the ability to adapt to change means to you. Also, I wanted to talk about some tweets and social media things I've been seeing lately! Seems some people feel they are being attacked with post saying to use this time to formulate a new skill, a new stream of income etc. However, this my friends is not an attack... It is a push to stay pushing forward and refrain from becoming idle!

The Big Permission Barrier
Happy Tuesday Creatives! Let's talk about Permission! This is an interesting topic for me because I started realizing I don't and have not given myself permission with a lot of things outside of acting. As I learned this about myself in acting class. Now where does this come from? I think it's important when we find barriers about ourself we dig deeper to find where and when did it arrive in us in order to break down these barriers that deflate us. Thoughts?

Calling it what it is, Imposter Syndrome..
Welcome back to another episode on faithmoriah.speaks. I wanted to speak on something that I personally have a deep rooted issue with internally! I'm also sure each of you have at some point in time experienced this phenomenon in your life. Let's put a name to it, lets meet it where it's at, let's conquer it creatives!
Imposter Syndrome: (also known as impostor phenomenon, impostorism, fraud syndrome or the impostor experience) is a psychological pattern in which one doubts one's accomplishments and has a persistent internalized fear of being exposed as a "fraud".

Overcoming the "No" in this Industry..
Welcome back creatives! I'm honestly using this verbal journal to serve as live experiences when I'm feeling up or even down as I navigate through my acting career. It's tough! Sis, its so tough, but we are tougher. Staying mentally strong and sound minded is a necessity in this industry, especially with receiving so many no's with zero explanation. It's not you! Trust me, don't let that mindset drag you to a downward spiral, or make you give up! You got this!
