<p>Welcome to the third episode of Fake It Until You Make It, Dreams and Pitfalls of the Fashion Industry, a podcast aiming to take an honest look at the fashion designer career and discover how and what it means to make it in the fashion industry. </p><br><p>In the third episode of our season 1, Marie Schaller has invited the art director and multidisciplinary artist Marvin M’Toumo to look back on their journey as the founder of their theatre company and fashion house. From their working-class background born in Guadeloupe, to their visual art study in France and fashion design master's in Switzerland, Marvin comes back on his troublesome journey to make it to the Hyere Festival finalist and set him up to launch his own unique label merging high fashion with theatre performance. After a decade working on developing his own craft, he comes back to notions such as politics, community and mental health, which have been an integral part of his practice through the years.</p><br><p>This podcast is a truthful conversation on the joys and hardships of this creative journey, celebrating the strength of the creative community and acknowledging the structural issues that are intertwined with the fashion industry.</p><br><p>This podcast has been created by Justine Taillefer (editorial advice, editing and technical direction) and Marie Schaller (concept, writing and art direction).
