Shower you with all my actions (not my Intentions).
Didn't Justin Bieber say it best? "Shower you with all my intentions..." but what happens when you do something that hurts someone's feelings, but it wasn't your intention? In this mini-episode, Samir discusses the concept of understanding perspectives and the importance of understanding intentions during conflicts. I promise you; it's mind-blowing (in a cute way). The main idea of the day: We judge others based on their actions, but we judge ourselves based on our intentions. *Broken* Promises You Can't Keep
Roses are red. Neon signs Glow. Breaking a promise to yourself hurts more than you'll ever know. Expectations are the Blueprint for Resentment *rejections and pedestals*
There is a certain "je ne sais quoi" when putting yourself and others on a pedestal. Every relationship that we have can end in resentment if we don't make it crystal clear what our intentions are when we enter it. Though the lines of desire and reality can be blurred, putting expectations on others to be this fantastic person could easily be broken when the pedestal falls from grace. Join Samir in the conversation about how expectations of oneself and others can be the blueprint for the downfall in relationships, friendships and personal growth.
