Welcome to the Families Matter to God podcast! This show is for those who are striving to fulfill your divine responsibility to teach God's children who have been entrusted to your care.
I'm Julie Larson, mother of four and follower of Christ. What a privilege and responsibility we have been given to raise the most amazing generation God has sent to this earth!
Inside these episodes, you will be supported and inspired on how to help your children connect with heaven and understand their divine identity as literal sons and daughters of God.
If we don't teach our children to know God and His son Jesus Christ, the world will teach them not to.
How Did History's Great Miracle Change Everything For You and Your Family?
History's greatest miracle happened over the last three days...two millenniums ago. All eternity held its breath as we watched our beloved Savior perform the most important critical part of our Heavenly Father's plan for us. Without it, we could never return to live with God again. We could never live as families again.
Everything hinged on Christ.
A few years ago, I was attending a funeral at the very time that our Savior was on the cross...two millenniums ago.
The speaker brought that to our attention and ever so eloquently described the events that transpired in the most pivotal three days of all eternity.
Every year on Easter weekend, I listen to this funeral talk. With permission from the family, I share it with you in the hopes that it will bless you as it has me.

Do You Feel Overwhelmed by Your Weaknesses?
Do your weaknesses sometimes overwhelm you?
You are not alone.
God gave us weaknesses to be a blessing to us.
When you are feeling inadequate and overwhelmed, they certainly don't feel like a blessing.
In this episode, we will talk about why He gives us weaknesses and how He will turn them into strengths.

Do Your Children Hear God's Voice?
Four years ago, I was trying to find a family to do a sub-for-Santa.
You would think that would be easy...but all of my inquiries turned up nothing.
I invited my ten and eleven year old children to help me find a family that was praying for help.
Little did I know that God was setting me up to have one of the sweetest experiences of my life.
Listen as I share how God led us to find a needle in a haystack...a needle that no one else knew about, but God did. I was flat out amazed at the simple, pure faith of my children and their ability to hear His voice.
"...and a little child shall lead them.” Isaiah 11:6

A Simple Way to Hear God's Voice
Have you asked God to teach you how He speaks to you?
When I first started down the path of knowing God's voice, a friend of mine taught me a simple way to know if my thoughts were coming from God.
It is so simple...yet so effective. You might not even believe it until you do it for awhile.
