What does Jesus want more than religious ritual? In Matthew 12, Jesus confronts the Pharisees over their understanding of the Sabbath and reveals something much deeper: God desires mercy, not empty religious performance. Pastor Woody walks through Matthew 12 and challenges us to examine our hearts. Are we simply checking religious boxes, or are we allowing Jesus to transform the way we treat people, respond to conviction, and live our everyday lives? This message also explores Sabbath as God's gift. Instead of seeing rest as another rule, we can learn to intentionally stop, rest, delight, and contemplate the Lord. Most importantly, Matthew 12 reminds us that our relationship with Jesus isn't about earning our place. Jesus calls us family.

You Are a Champion Too
You Are a Champion | Seeing Yourself the Way God Sees You | Family Church You are fearfully and wonderfully made. But how often do we actually live like we believe that? In this powerful message from Family Church, Daniel challenges us to stop defining ourselves by our mistakes and begin seeing ourselves through the eyes of God. Psalm 139:14 tells us that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, while Ephesians 2:10 reminds us that we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works. This message explores: What it means to be intentionally created by God Why we shouldn't define ourselves by our mistakes How to stop focusing on the "black dot" Why our inefficiencies don't disqualify us What it means to be wonderfully made How God gives us purpose What Ephesians 2:10 says about good works How to live as an example of Jesus Why parents need to speak life into their children What it means to be a champion of the faith Why our identity is rooted in Jesus Why Christians are called to encourage one another How to speak life instead of death Why we need to encourage the people already inside our church family How our spiritual family can become a place of belonging The "I love this about you" challenge How encouragement can become a way of sharing the Gospel The challenge is simple: See yourself the way God sees you. You are intentionally made. You are God's handiwork. You were created for good works. You are a champion of the faith. And you have an opportunity to encourage someone else this week. Speak life. Encourage someone. Be a champion.

Matthew 11 | Woody Burpo
What do you do when God doesn't work the way you expected Him to? In Matthew 11, John the Baptist finds himself in prison and begins to question whether Jesus really is the Messiah. The surprising part isn't that John has questions—the surprising part is how Jesus responds. Jesus doesn't shame John. He doesn't reject him. He answers him with kindness. This chapter reminds us that we can bring our questions to God. We can trust Him when life is difficult. We can repent when He reveals something that needs to change. And, most importantly, we can come to Jesus. Jesus says: "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest." — Matthew 11:28 Whether you're tired, discouraged, confused, joyful, burdened, or simply don't know what to do next, the invitation is the same: Come to Jesus. In this message: God welcomes our questions Why following Jesus doesn't mean life will always be easy Trusting God when He doesn't work the way we expect The importance of repentance Staying teachable in our faith Finding rest in Jesus Learning to come to Jesus in every circumstance The Gospel of Matthew | Family Church
