Family Worship brings the church service to you. On air Sundays at 9am and 7:30pm and now on demand, wherever you get your podcasts. Every week a special guest pastor will bring a message that will get you thinking and speak to your heart.
What do you think is worth working for? What is it that drives you, what do you put your energy into and why do you do it?
Today Russell Williams brings us a message from John chapter 6 - just after Jesus feeds the 5000. In this passage Jesus instructs his followers to prioritise eternal life over temporary, physical satisfaction.
It's a passage where Jesus commends their exertion, but not their purpose. The point that Jesus goes on to make is that we are safe because God does the work to save us. It's not about our work, but trusting Him to make us secure.
Russell Williams is the lead pastor of Shore Hope Presbyterian Church (https://www.shorehope.church/) in Redland Bay. Shore Hope is a growing church for a growing community, that exists to grow in Jesus’ love, show Jesus’ love, and share Jesus’ love.
Shore Hope meet every Sunday in two locations:
8:30am - a traditional service held in the Redlands Presbyterian Church, 164 Colburn Ave, Victoria Point.
10:30am - an all ages service meets in the Performing Arts Complex of the Redland Bay State School (https://redlandbayss.eq.edu.au/Ourschool/Contactus/Pages/Contactus.aspx).

Allan Quak - God Isn't a Handyman
What do you think of when you picture a handman? Is it an unrenovated house, with dozens of unfinished projects underway? Or perhaps it's of a shed full of new and unused tools?
For many of us, the stereotype of the handyman is not someone who finishes projects - but the good news is that God isn't a handyman. He doesn't abandon half finished work or lose interest in people.
Today Rev. Allan Quak from Bible Society Australia (https://www.biblesociety.org.au/blog/) looks at the passage from Philippians 1:6, where Paul says "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus".
