About Fan into Flame UK Podcast with Stu Wright & Patrick Stone
We aim to explore the everyday stories about how God speaks to and uses everyday people, in the everyday situation to fulfil His Eternal Purposes.
2 Timothy 1 vs 6-7 encourages us to:
6 For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. 7 For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.
Through these personal stories of life & faith we want to learn how God gives hope and direction to his people. How we can fan the flame of God that is within us, so that we too can use the gifts God has given us. He has given us all unique gifts and has a purpose and plan for each of us, so we hope you enjoy hearing how God uses person and are inspired to explore with God what he wants you to do together.
Episode 20 - FIF with Sadie Batstone - I said yes to a future I never planned
BIRTHDAY SPECIAL - Happy Birthday Sadie
I said yes to a future I never planned - and a lot of it started because someone else saw something in me before I did.
Sadie’s story is such a good reminder that calling doesn’t always look like a perfect plan. Sometimes it looks like:
one brave step
one faithful person
one open door you didn’t expect
And sometimes God doesn’t give the whole map - just enough peace for the next move. That part hit me.
Because the “right” decision isn’t always the easiest one. What’s one moment where someone encouraged you and it changed your direction?

Episode 19 - FIF with Mike Shuter - Better Together than alone
FIF Episode 19 with Mike Shuter – Better Together than alone.
God changed my life through people I almost ignored.
If you need a reminder that you don’t have to figure everything out alone, listen on.
Mike shared that some of the biggest shifts in his life came through people who:
Stayed when others backed away
Told him the truth, even when it was uncomfortable
Helped him see what God could do in him before he could see it himself
That really challenges us is we often ask God for a clear word, while overlooking the wisdom He has already placed around us
· Sometimes direction comes through Scripture.
· Sometimes it comes through peace.
· Sometimes it comes through a trusted friend saying, “I don’t think that’s right.”
Maybe the breakthrough isn’t more noise.
Maybe it’s godly community.
What kind of voice do you need more of in this season?
I hope you enjoy this episode. Be Blessed and be a Blessing to someone this week.

Episode 18 -FIF with Graham Peckett - Seeing people beyond their label
Episode 18 -FIF with Graham Peckett - Seeing people beyond their label
I thought I had retired. God clearly had other plans.
Your life is never wasted when you choose to serve.
At 42, Graham Peckett changed careers. At 66, he retired and then went back to work - not for a title, but to bring joy, hope, and real human connection to people who needed it most. That’s the thing I love about his story:
He sees the person, not the label.
He treats care like ministry, not just a job.
God loves you and me deeply and that changes everything
Working for God is more than a role.
And honestly, that’s the invitation for all of us. You don’t have to be in a hospital to bring light to others. Sometimes it’s just obedience. Will you obey? If you’re wondering whether it’s too late to start again... it’s not. Maybe God’s not finished with you either.
I hope you enjoy this episode. Be Blessed and be a Blessing to someone this week.
