In this podcast, she shares her knowledge of animals, experiences as a wildlife biologist, and simple lifestyle choices you can make to conserve nature. Her 17 years in wildlife biology taught her that science alone cannot save species. We need to take collective action through simple things we can do every day. This podcast is for anyone who likes animals and wants to help make the world a better place for them, and for us too. What kind of job types would be more lucrative? That's how you want to think if finances are really important to you in this field. You also want to think, what makes a profit? Unfortunately, academia doesn't really make a profit. If you're doing research that's to be published in scientific journals only, this is not a profit producing activity. That's not to say it's not important, but this is not going to be where the money is. And that's not to say that professors don't get paid well, but to get to professor level, you are going to have to have your probably seasonal field work, then a master's degree, then a PhD, then a postdoc.
