About Fandom Shmandom

Welcome to Fandom Shmandom, the podcast where your hosts, Sam and Sierra, dive deep into the fandoms you know and love (or maybe need to catch up on!). This isn't just a nostalgic trip; it's a mission. Each season, Sam and Sierra pick a massive, active, or beloved fandom that's about to drop a huge new release—be it a movie, TV show, game, or book. Think Star Wars, the next phase of the MCU, a new Zelda entry, or the latest version of Avatar: The Last Airbender. Over the season, they'll guide you through the essentials: The Lore: Breaking down the canon, the world-building, and the history you need to know. The Essentials: What to watch, read, or play to be ready for the new launch. The Theories: Diving into the wild, the brilliant, and the totally bonkers fan predictions. The Culture: Discussing the community, the controversies, and the lasting impact of the franchise. Whether you're a lifelong veteran who wants to relive the classics or a complete newbie who needs a crash course before opening night, Fandom Shmandom is your ultimate prep guide.
