Πλατεία Μωάμεθ, πρώην Τραφάλγκαρ
<p>Άρθρο του Θάνου Τζήμερου το οποίο δημοσιεύθηκε στις 7 Απριλίου 2017 στο capital.grΜια καλοκαιρινή μέρα του 2009, η Αζίγια Νορήν 38 χρονών τότε, και μητέρα 5 παιδιών, δούλευε μαζί με άλλες γυναίκες στα χωράφια στην επαρχία Σεϊκουπούρα του Πακιστάν, όταν ο επιστάτης την έστειλε να φέρει νερό από ένα κοντινό πηγάδι. Κάποιες άλλες εργάτριες διαμαρτυρήθηκαν: εμείς δεν πίνουμε το νερό που θα μας φέρει μια ακάθαρτη! Βλέπετε, η Αζίγια Νορήν ήταν η μοναδική χριστιανή στο χωριό της και για τους μουσουλμάνους συγχωριανούς ήταν ακάθαρτη ως άπιστη, όπως λέει το Κοράνι. Κάτι απάντησε, κάτι της ανταπάντησαν και το περιστατικό έληξε εκεί. Γυρνώντας στο χωριό κάποιος ενημέρωσε τον ιμάμη ότι η Αζίγια Νορήν μίλησε προσβλητικά για τον Προφήτη. Αυτός ανέβηκε στον μιναρέ και κάλεσε όλο το χωριό να τιμωρήσει την άπιστη. Μαζεύτηκε ο όχλος έξω από το σπίτι της με άγριες διαθέσεις και η οικογένειά της κάλεσε την αστυνομία. Αντί όμως η αστυνομία να την προστατέψει από το λιντζάρισμα, τη συνέλαβε. Οδηγήθηκε στο δικαστήριο και καταδικάστηκε σε θάνατο δι’ απαγχονισμού διότι... βλασφήμησε! Η οικογένειά της δεχόμενη απειλές αναγκάστηκε να φύγει από τη χώρα και έμεινε μόνη της η Αζίγια Νορήν, γνωστή έκτοτε ως Αζία Μπίμπι (Asia Bibi) σε ένα κελί να περιμένει την εκτέλεση. </p><p>...η συνέχεια στο podcast</p>
