<p>The Far West Local Health District is very excited to launch Series 2 of Our Deadly Voices.</p><p><br></p><p>This season we are once again joined by Melissa Calliss to host the season.</p><p><br></p><p>We kick off this season joined by Danielle Escreet, Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Ophthalmology Clinic at the Broken Hill Base Hospital. Danielle generously shares her journey into Health and how she found her way into ophthalmology and come to live and work in Broken Hill. Where the Five Rivers Run - Healthcare in Balranald
<p>As we near the end of our season, we find ourselves at our final destination and most southern health facility in the Far West Local Health District, Balranald.</p><p><br></p><p>The township of Balranald is nestled on the beautiful Murrumbidgee River, and is famously known as the gateway to the “Five Rivers” region, as the town sits just upstream from where the Murrumbidgee converges with the Murray River. The Balranald region has five rivers that run through it, the Murrumbidgee, Murray, Wakool, Edward and Lachlan Rivers. The region is highly regarded for its local waterways and outdoor attractions, including the nearby Yanga National Park and the culturally significant World Heritage-listed Mungo National Park.</p><p><br></p><p>Today in the studio we are joined by Angeline Vogel, Health Service Manager at Balranald Multipurpose Service.
