[…] Great margins, not enough production. One farmer might do everything right on paper. Beautiful crops, great pricing, strong margins on every bed, 75% profit per bed. Exactly what the profit pie says you should aim for. But they only have 12 beds. Let's run the math. 12 beds, 3 rotations a year, $525 profit per bed rotation. $18,900. That's not a farm business. It's a side project. It's a side hustle. It's farmsteading. It's kind of hobby-ish. And this is a farmer I meet a lot. They probably comment in the videos, and I'm sure I've met them in person. They feel like they're running a business, but they're not getting that the business that they're running is never gonna be big enough to get them to where they wanna go. […]
