About Father Figuring: Conversations of a Daughter Figuring out her Father
After 30 years of a fairly strained relationship, Catherine "Cat" Carter is on a journey of getting to know and understand her father - the good, the bad, and everything in between. Join Cat and her dad, Wil, as they chat and figure each other out over a drink...or two. Expect lots of laughs, some Wil-isms, and a thug tear...or two.
In this episode, George gives us the behind the scene look of how he proposed to Christina (a very different story than Mommy's proposal). The gang also goes around the table with the traits they want in Cat's future life mate. Po' up some cava and enjoy!

Episode 5: Brown Table Talk - Part 1
Move over Jada, Willow, and Jada's Momma... Cat, Christina and Florence are out here in these streets. On this very special episode, Cat sits with her mom (Mommy/Florence/Princess), sister (Christina) and brother-in-law (George), over a brown kitchen table to reflect on the father figuring conversations thus far. Mommy gets to share her truth of the early days of dating Wil Carter and we get to the bottom of some questions (Why did she loan him the money? What made her say yes? Why was she tight about the proposal?) Stay tuned!

Episode 2: The Last Black Man in Lubbock. TX
February means it's time to Lift Every Voice, so in honor of Black History Month, we chat about Wil's life as a black man navigating very homogenous spaces... overwhelmingly white homogenous spaces. He's spent much of his life being the only during his career which has led to a fair share of challenges, but after many years, he's managed to thrive and gain influence in spite of his only status. We also talk politics (Iowa anyone), him getting a lil too loose at PVAMU (sorry to your mom or grandma), and his fire Valentines Day plans (while I'll be sending myself roses from a "secret admirer"). Also note that there will be some echos on my side in certain parts... my bad.
