Everyone has a story worth telling—and every story points to the goodness of God.
This Is My Story is a podcast from First Baptist Church, Toccoa, that shares real-life faith journeys from everyday people. In each episode, you’ll hear honest conversations about how God is with us in the highs, the lows, and everything in between.
Wherever you are and whatever your story looks like—we’ve saved you a seat.
The theme of Justin’s Rothstein’s life is the importance of showing up. From how his adoptive family and childhood church invested in him, to how he is parenting and serving today, God’s faithfulness is evident through his story.
1 Corinthians 16:13 “Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.”
Psalm 68:6 “God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.”

This is the Bragg's Story
In today’s conversation, Davis and Heather Bragg explain finding their identity in Christ and clinging to Proverbs 16:9 as their life verse. Their whole life is a testament to God’s faithfulness, including how losing Heather’s dad helped prepare them to walk through Davis’s own mental health struggles.
Scripture referenced:
Proverbs 16:9 “The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.”
Genesis 50:20a “As for you, you meant evil against me, but God meant it for good.”
2 Corinthians 12:9 “But he said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.”
Romans 8:26-28 “Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.”
Romans 12:12 “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.”
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives generously to all without reproach, and it will be given him.”
Mark 12:30-31 “‘And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
