Das Stadtfest in Steyr war für Silvia Rathmair Anlass, einmal über das Verhältnis von Gemeinde Jesu und der Stadt, dem Ort, wo man wohnt, nachzudenken. Ein wichtiger Bibeltext diesbezüglich ist Jeremia 29. Er enthält Anweisungen Gottes für jene nach Babylon Deportierten Israeliten. Aus ihnen lassen sich bestimmte Prinzipien ableiten, die auch 2.700 Jahre später noch gelten.
