#6 WILD: I Like the Taste of Grass

What if the very thing you’ve been avoiding — the bitter, uncomfortable, awkward part of life — is actually the medicine you need? In this WILD episode, Meghan Aileen dives into the idea that discomfort isn’t the enemy — it’s actually the place where resilience, creativity, and fearlessness are born. Using her love for bitter foods and herbal remedies as a metaphor, Meghan shares how our culture’s obsession with comfort, convenience, and sweetness can keep us from building the strength we truly need. You’ll hear: Why bitter herbs and “grass-tasting” remedies are a perfect metaphor for life and creativity How comfort culture keeps us from growing, and what resilience really requires The science of bitter taste (and why it often means it's working) Mindset shifts to help you reframe discomfort as growth instead of danger Practical examples of how to train yourself to embrace the uncomfortable Why creativity always lives at the edge of comfort Takeaway: Sometimes the medicine we need doesn’t taste good — but that’s how you know it’s working. Learning to be okay with discomfort is one of the wildest and most powerful ways to expand your creativity and build fearless resilience. Challenge for this week: Do one thing that’s uncomfortable but not harmful. Drink the bitter tea, have the hard conversation, take the stairs, or try something you’ve been resisting. Notice how quickly your body and mind adapt once you stop labeling discomfort as danger. If you enjoyed this episode, share it with a friend who’s learning to embrace the wild side of life. #5 FEARLESS: Working 9-5 and Jumping Out of Airplanes

What’s your risk tolerance? Are you someone who thrives on adrenaline and new experiences—or do you crave structure and predictability? In this fearless episode, we’re diving deep into the psychology of risk-taking, sensation seeking, and what it all means for you as a creative. Psychologist Marvin Zuckerman coined the term “sensation seeking,” and today we explore how that shows up in your creative process, your business decisions, and your everyday life. Whether you’re a 9-5 loyalist secretly craving more, or a spontaneous visionary constantly chasing the next big idea, there’s power in finding your balance between boldness and groundedness. You’ll learn: What sensation seeking is—and how it connects to creativity The difference between calculated risk vs unnecessary risk How to rewire your brain and stretch your comfort zone (yes, even as an adult!) Tools to balance chaos with structure in your creative life A 3-question filter to help high-risk takers avoid impulsive choices Micro-challenges to help low-risk takers build confidence Why bold doesn't mean reckless—and cautious doesn't mean boring This episode is for every creative soul trying to break free from fear, impulsivity, or stagnation — and build a life that’s both artful and intentional. Try this week’s Fearless Experiment: If you're low sensation seeking: Take one small risk you’d normally avoid. If you're high sensation seeking: Ask yourself the 3 filter questions before jumping into your next big idea. Mentioned in this episode: Marvin Zuckerman’s research on sensation seeking Dopamine, prefrontal cortex, and the biology of boldness Neuroplasticity and how to change your response to risk Real-life examples of both smart and impulsive creative risks LET’S CONNECT: Are you high or low sensation seeking?
