Maar ook: hoe beter de (subtiele) manipulatie! De gezondheidsapp is immers een commerciële dienst – die ook aan jou als gebruiker wilt verdienen. Gezondheidsapps staan zo symbool voor een algemene uitdaging in de digitale samenleving. Datagedreven online platforms en diensten leren onze (onbewuste) gedragspatronen steeds beter kennen én kunnen die gedragspatronen ook steeds beter ongezien beïnvloeden. Hoe moeten we omgaan met die nieuwe machtspositie van datagedreven online platforms en diensten? >> SPREKER Marijn Sax is PhD-kandidaat bij het Instituut voor Informatierecht en het Departement Filosofie aan de UvA. Hij heeft een achtergrond in politieke wetenschappen en wijsbegeerte en is geïnteresseerd in vraagstukken rondom privacy, autonomie en manipulatie. Zijn promotie-onderzoek focust zich op commerciële gezondheidsapps, gebruikersmanipulatie en consumentenrecht.
