An exploration of genre fiction through the lens of literature and film. Which is our fancy way of saying: drinking beer and talking about our favorite books, movies, and shows.

What up Fermented Folks!
This final week of February we continue our exploration of the best black authors and their work. As we are a genre fiction show, we'd be utterly remiss to skip the work of NK Jemisin.
But, not all are in agreement on the Fermented Fiction front where the Broken Earth Saga is concerned. Who will love it, who will hate it? Listen in to find out!
As always, thank you so much for listening! If you like what we’re getting up to you can check out more of our stuff and follow us at these links:

Featured Author of the Month: Leopoldo Gout
What up Fermented Folks!
This month we had the tremendous honor of hosting Leopoldo Gout, author of Ghost Radio and Pinata as well as producer and script writer for numerous film projects including Molly's Game and The Chosen One (Netflix Series).
Gout was incredibly kind to us and actually found us by listening to our review of his first book Ghost Radio (which was not the kindest review). His genuine passion and energy for creative work was absolutely inspiring and we are so thankful he took the time to be on our show!
