Many would argue that Naâman is in many respects France’s torch-bearer for a musical style that has never run dry. With a number of successful albums and singles to his credit, he continues to enthral the world with his spirited performances. </p> <p>On the occasion of World Music Day, catch Naâman in conversation with India’s most well-known reggae outfit the Reggae Rajahs.</p>

<p>We present the coming together of Hyderabadi songwriter Alluri with Ayla Millepied Sen from Bordeaux, but now finding footing in Istanbul. </p> <p>For Fête de la Musique, both Alluri and Ayla will offer up their musical pieces in two separate original performances followed by a 30-minute dialogue with each other that will see them look back o their careers, Alluri’s as shaped by his Indian roots and British rock influences, and Ayla’s through retracing her life and heart split between Turkey and France. </p> <p>Audiences can thus listen in to their visions as rockers and songwriters at the crossroads of two cultures.</p>

<p>Suryakant Sawhney, better known as Lifafa has blended the nuances of old and new to create a contemporary sound that is Indian and heart but truly worldly in its outlook. He entire body of work beginning with his eponymous debut album in 2013, to his critically-acclaimed release Jaago in 2019, to his most recent SUPERPOWER 2020 have cemented his name as light to look towards in India’s musical landscape. This is, of course, discounting his other body of work as part of indie darlings Peter Cat Recording Co. which stands tall in its own right. </p> <p>Catch him in conversation with producer, songwriter and boxout.fm host Rounak Maiti on World Music Day.</p>
