Fête de la Musique 2021 - Lifafa in conversation w/ Rounak Maiti [21-06-2021]

Suryakant Sawhney, better known as Lifafa has blended the nuances of old and new to create a contemporary sound that is Indian and heart but truly worldly in its outlook. He entire body of work beginning with his eponymous debut album in 2013, to his critically-acclaimed release Jaago in 2019, to his most recent SUPERPOWER 2020 have cemented his name as light to look towards in India’s musical landscape. This is, of course, discounting his other body of work as part of indie darlings Peter Cat Recording Co. which stands tall in its own right.

Catch him in conversation with producer, songwriter and boxout.fm host Rounak Maiti on World Music Day.
