About Fiercely Unfiltered with Kelly Renee

I've been holding onto stories, truths, and lessons that deserve to be shared - not just for me, but for anyone who needs to hear them. Sometimes the hardest stories to tell are the ones that hold the most power. They're raw, unfiltered, and unapologetically real. That's what Fiercely Unfiltered is all about— creating a space where vulnerability meets strength, where silence is replaced with courage, and where every story is told with purpose. This isn't just a podcast. It's a conversation. It's healing. It's growth.

   The Full Circle Moment

Sometimes the thing you walked away from becomes the thing life hands back to you, only this time, you are finally ready for it. In this episode of Fiercely Unfiltered, Kelly Renee reflects on a powerful full-circle moment: nearly 30 years after dropping out of college to join the United States Army, the same decision that pulled her away from school is now allowing her to go back and earn her degree. What once looked like a detour now feels like alignment, and Kelly opens up about trusting your path even when life does not make sense in the moment. This episode is for anyone rebuilding after loss, learning how to trust themselves again, or trying to stop living on autopilot and start consciously participating in who they are becoming. Kelly talks about emotional healing, discipline, self-trust, fitness goals, going back to school as an adult, and why maximum effort is a choice. From Army lessons like “mission over mood” to her dream of competing on the Olympia stage, she shares what it means to stop negotiating with the work, reconnect with your own voice, and finally build a future instead of only recovering from the past. Key Takeaways Why the choices that do not make sense in the moment can become full circle moments years later Why healing requires slowing down instead of staying busy to outrun your emotions How outside voices, criticism, and expectations can disconnect you from your own instincts How maturity means not attaching your peace to one exact outcome Why elite goals require you to stop negotiating with the work How keeping small promises to yourself builds deeper self-trust Why the time, energy, discipline, and awareness you invest in yourself are never wasted In This Episode 00:00 Introduction 00:55 How the Army brought school back full circle 01:27 When life finally starts making sense 02:30 Why moving on was not the answer 03:17 The hidden layers underneath the loss 05:39 Choosing maximum effort in every area of life 06:36 Building a long-term future with discipline 07:24 School, competition prep, and a new chapter 08:10 Why elite results require all ten steps 08:35 Mission over mood 09:25 Reframing fear into possibility 10:25 Competing against your own limits 11:23 Why investing in yourself is never wasted 11:48 Hearing your own voice again Notable Quotes [05:39] - What I've learned is that maximum effort is never really required. It's what you choose to give.” [06:36] - “Part of maturity is learning not to attach your peace to one exact outcome.” [08:10] - “If I'm saying I want elite results, then I need to stop negotiating with the work that comes with it.” [10:50] - “The time and energy you invest in yourself is never wasted, because that stays with you.” Resources and Links Fiercely Unfiltered Fiercely Unfiltered with Kelly Renee Kelly Renee Instagram Facebook Website

Just Because It Hurts Doesn’t Mean It’s Wrong

What do you do when something hurts, but deep down you know going back would cost you your peace? In this episode of Fiercely Unfiltered, Kelly Renee unpacks what it really looks like to trust God’s plan, move forward after heartbreak, and stop mistaking pain for proof that you’re on the wrong path. This is a raw conversation about emotional healing, grieving what you lost, trusting what you cannot yet see, and learning how to keep moving when life does not go the way you planned. If you’ve been navigating rejection, intrusive thoughts, self-doubt, or the sting of other people’s opinions, this episode hits hard in the best way. Kelly talks about protecting your peace, rejecting false narratives, building self-trust after loss, and recognizing that just because something is loud does not make it true. It is a powerful reminder that healing after betrayal, heartbreak, and disappointment is not about having every answer. It is about refusing to abandon yourself on the way forward. Key Takeaways Trust does not mean everything feels good. You can still be grieving and moving forward at the same time. Painful memories can hit without meaning you are falling apart. Just because a thought is loud does not mean it is true. Real peace comes from trusting yourself in what comes next, not controlling every outcome. What left your life may have created space for something that fits who you are now. In This Episode 00:00 Introduction 00:52 Grief still shows up in the middle of healing 02:00 Learning from pain before the lesson comes too late 03:20 Loud thoughts are not the same as truth 04:09 When the hardest voices come from people close to you 05:47 Protecting your confidence from other people’s words 07:45 Peace comes from trust, not control 08:57 Refusing to go back to an older version of yourself 09:22 Just because it hurts does not mean it is wrong 10:14 Final reminder: your story is your power Notable Quotes [03:20] - “I've had to learn that just because a thought is loud, doesn't mean it's true because those thoughts aren't coming from truth. They're coming from pain. They're coming from a version of me that was hurt.” [07:45] “I've learned peace doesn't come from controlling everything around you. It comes from trusting yourself in whatever comes next, and trusting that whatever didn't stay wasn't meant to go with you.” [08:57] - “You just need to keep showing up as the version of you that refuses to go back to who you used to be.” Resources and Links Fiercely Unfiltered Fiercely Unfiltered with Kelly Renee Kelly Renee Instagram Facebook Website

Why Feeling Lost Might Actually Mean You’re Growing

In this episode of Fiercely Unfiltered, Kelly Renee opens up about what it really feels like to be in a season of uncertainty, emotional growth, and self-discovery. This is a raw conversation about feeling lost in life, healing after heartbreak, learning how to trust yourself again, and sitting in the uncomfortable space between who you were and who you’re becoming. If you’ve been navigating anxiety, overthinking, identity shifts, or the emotional weight of personal transformation, this episode will hit home. Kelly unpacks the difference between fear, excitement, and anxiety, while reflecting on how growth can feel messy, unclear, and deeply uncomfortable even when nothing is technically “wrong.” She talks about letting go of attachment to outcomes, breaking patterns of self-abandonment, and choosing truth over false security. This episode is for anyone moving through a hard transition, learning emotional resilience, and trying to find peace in the in-between. Key Takeaways Growth does not always feel empowering. Sometimes it feels confusing, heavy, and unfamiliar. Healing after relationships can reveal how much of your identity was tied to being with someone. Anxiety can make your body react before your mind understands what is actually happening. Not every feeling is a signal to act. Some emotions need to be felt, not fixed. Real self-trust is built by staying present instead of making fear-based decisions. Patience is not passive. It is the discipline of not forcing clarity before it is ready. In This Episode [00:00] Introduction [01:26] Is this fear, or is this what growth feels like? [02:35] Feeling whole but still unsettled [05:24] Fear vs excitement vs anxiety [07:24] The danger of solving problems that are not real [08:11] Making decisions from alignment, not fear [09:25] Why self-awareness is a daily practice [10:43] Patience, uncertainty, and not forcing clarity [11:45] Maybe this is preparation, not confusion [12:38] Stop losing yourself to keep something [13:33] What strength really looks like now [14:21] Trust over control [15:06] Choosing uncertainty over a life that is not true Resources and Links Fiercely Unfiltered Fiercely Unfiltered with Kelly Renee Kelly Renee Instagram Facebook Website
