13 UFC 330 AFTERMATH + ETERNAL 109 PREDICTIONS
THE BOYS ARE BACK 🥊 Episode 13 and this one goes everywhere 😂 We kick things off with a full UFC 330 recap. What stood out, where the divisions go from here, the veterans still hanging around, the next generation coming through and what should happen next. That takes us down the rabbit hole of weight classes and weight cutting, the damage fighters put their bodies through and whether the sport needs to rethink how it's done. We also get into Mackenzie Dern, coaching and what can actually make the difference at the highest level. Then T puts the commentator hat back on as we preview Eternal 109, break down the fights and make our predictions for the card. And somehow we end up everywhere else 😂 International rugby. The All Blacks. Wallabies. NRL. Politics in sport. Athletes and artists speaking out. Even whether rugby players could actually make the jump to the NFL. Then we finish it off with your Fan Questions, UFC rankings, mentality, injuries and whatever else you lot manage to drag us into. 12 CAN THE WARRIORS ACTUALLY WIN THE PREMIERSHIP?!
THE BOYS ARE BACK 🥊🏉 Another week of Fight Cap and apparently we're just a full blown sports show now 😂 We start where we're supposed to with UFC Fight Night: Gamrot vs Salkilld, breaking down the card, the biggest performances and everything that stood out from the weekend. Then Shubz manages to get us back onto rugby league... And there's one question every Warriors fan wants answered: CAN THE WARRIORS ACTUALLY WIN THE NRL PREMIERSHIP? 🏆 Are we looking at a team capable of going all the way or are Warriors fans setting themselves up for heartbreak again? Then we cross codes and get into International Rugby, the biggest talking points from around the rugby world and what's happening with the international game. And of course we finish with your Fan Questions, where absolutely anything can end up being discussed. Shubz the couch potato. T the MMA nerd. MMA somehow turned into UFC, NRL and international rugby 😂

11 WHAT JUST HAPPENED AT UFC SERBIA?! + ETERNAL 108
THE BOYS ARE BACK FOR EPISODE 11 🥊 Shubz & T are back with another week of fights, yarns and somehow... rugby has found its way onto an MMA show again 😂 We kick things off with a full UFC Serbia review, breaking down the fights, performances and everything that caught our attention from the card. Then it's back home for the Eternal 108 recap. We look at what went down, who impressed and why supporting fighters coming through the local Australian and New Zealand scene actually matters. Then, as usual, Fight Cap goes completely off script. We get into rugby and the wider sporting world, the All Blacks tour, what we make of where the team is heading and some personal reflection along the way. Then it's back to business with a look ahead at the next UFC card, the fights we're watching and what could be coming next. And we finish with your fan questions. 10 PEDs, SUPERFIGHTS & NRL DRAMA 😂
Shubz & T are back and somehow we’ve gone from the UFC to boxing, PFL, Eternal MMA, PEDs and even a bit of NRL drama 😂 We break down UFC Abu Dhabi, before getting into Tyson Pedro and the PFL and what’s next for the Aussie heavyweight. Then boxing takes over. Anthony Joshua vs Tyson Fury gets discussed, along with Tim Tszyu vs Errol Spence and where that fight could leave both men. We also get into the latest NRL drama and team culture, preview Eternal 108, and then open it up to the people with another round of FAN QUESTIONS. And to finish it off, we get into one of the biggest conversations in combat sports: PEDs. How widespread are they really? Where do you draw the line? And what does using them say about a fighter’s integrity? 9 HAVE WE JUST FOUND THE UFC’S NEXT MEGASTAR?! 👀
Ryan Fox nearly gets cut. Two days later he wins the whole bloody thing. DDP puts on a clinic. Usman’s future suddenly looks very different. And then a bloke called Tommy “Gunn” McMillan turns up and has T wondering whether we’ve just watched the beginning of something pretty special. Fight Cap Sports Episode 9. We kick this one off outside the cage with a massive weekend for Kiwi sport, Ryan Fox pulling off an unbelievable comeback and a World Cup final that gets Shubz and T talking about everything from Messi to the old school Brazilian greats. Then we get back where we belong. DDP vs Usman. After what Dricus just did, there’s a very obvious fight sitting there for him. But T has a strong opinion on who deserves the next shot and what Kamaru Usman should do from here. Then there’s Tommy “Gunn” McMillan. 11 and 0. Can fight. Can talk. Has the look. Has the personality. We’ve seen plenty of fighters get hyped too early, but this one feels a little different. How quickly should the UFC push him? And are we actually looking at someone capable of becoming one of the biggest names in the company? We get into Eternal, Ankalaev vs Guskov, the Nations Championship, the Wallabies finally remembering how to win and whether the All Blacks are actually closing the gap on South Africa. T still hasn’t recovered from the 2023 World Cup final either 😂 Then Fight Cap heads somewhere completely different. IBC. Four ounce gloves. Plenty of finishes. And another combat sport starting to make some serious noise. Then come the fan questions. Who should DDP fight next? Is Usman finished at the top? Who are the hardest runners and hitters rugby league has ever seen? Is Australian rugby dying? How quickly do you throw Tommy Gunn into the deep end? And then someone asks us about the claims flying around that the World Cup was rigged for Argentina. That conversation… Yeah.

8 THE SADDEST COMEBACK IN UFC HISTORY?! CONOR McGREGOR’S RETURN ENDS IN DISASTER
Five years. That’s how long we waited to see Conor McGregor walk into a UFC cage again. The music hits. The place changes completely. Conor walks out and for a few minutes it genuinely feels like the old days again. Then the bell rings. And the knee goes. Honestly, this one sucked 😂 Last episode Shubz picked Conor. T picked Max. Turns out neither of us knew what the hell was coming. We go through the McGregor vs Holloway rematch and what might now be the final chapter of Conor’s UFC career. Does he rehab and try this one more time? Does he eventually chase a boxing payday? Or after five years trying to get back to this exact moment, is it finally time to call it? T reckons the ride is over. Shubz isn’t quite ready to bury Mystic Mac just yet. Thankfully the rest of International Fight Week gave us plenty. Paddy Pimblett shuts a few people up with a nasty finish and now we’ve got a serious conversation about whether Paddy is one fight away from the belt. Bobby Knuckles moves up and looks bloody good doing it. Gable Steveson makes his UFC debut and T’s heavyweight champion prediction suddenly doesn’t look quite as ridiculous. King Green and Terrance McKinney give us exactly the madness we expected. Then somehow we go from broken knees to State of Origin heartbreak 😂 Queensland got jumped early. NSW got the job done. T takes the loss on the chin… eventually… while also having a few words about the bunker and some of those calls. We also get into Run It Straight, which T reckons might genuinely be the most insane sport he’s ever seen. Twenty metres. One bloke coming the other way. No stepping out of it. Good luck 😂 Then it’s the Nations Championship, the Wallabies frustrating T again, the All Blacks and why Australia has the cattle but still can’t seem to put the whole thing together. And then your Fan Questions. Should Conor retire? Did Paddy get lucky or is he actually ready for a title shot? Will we EVER see another UFC superstar on McGregor’s level? And how far can Robert Whittaker really go at 205? Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera | Episode 8 Conor’s comeback might be over before it ever really started. And yeah… we’re still gutted. 😂

7 CONOR McGREGOR IS BACK! CAN HE ACTUALLY BEAT MAX HOLLOWAY?!
THE MAC IS BACK. Five years out of the cage and Conor McGregor finally returns for a rematch more than a decade in the making against Max Holloway. And of course Shubz and Tanera can’t agree on what happens 😂 T reckons five years away is simply too long and has Max Holloway getting it done in the fourth round. Shubz is backing Mystic Mac by KO. Someone is going to look very silly next episode. We run through the rest of International Fight Week too. Gable Steveson gets a HUGE call from T, Robert Whittaker makes the move up to Light Heavyweight, King Green vs Terrance McKinney looks like absolute chaos and somehow T has finally started giving Paddy Pimblett some respect 😂 Then Fight Cap becomes Rugby Cap for a minute. The Nations Championship, the future of international rugby, Tana Umaga joining the All Blacks coaching setup and the debate around whether his coaching experience stacks up for the role. Then State of Origin. Was Brian To’o unlucky to miss out? Can NSW win another decider at Suncorp? T has Queensland 18–14, while Shubz is taking Queensland 1–12. T also tells us what happened at YFN5 when a misunderstanding after a fight went from zero to 100 VERY quickly before everyone eventually sorted it out 😂 And we finish with your fan questions. Build the perfect MMA fighter using five different fighters. Who has the greatest chin in MMA history? If you could erase ONE loss from any fighter’s record, whose career changes the most? And somehow Jon Jones ends up in the GOAT conversation again. Of course he does.

6 IAN GARRY BEATS ISLAM?! T HAS ANOTHER INSANE UFC TAKE 😂
Another absolutely outrageous take from Tanera. Episode 6 starts with Dustin Poirier’s arrest and what might actually be going on with one of the toughest men to ever step inside the UFC. Is retirement already getting to Dustin? Could we actually see him come back? And if Conor McGregor returns and gets through Max Holloway, could there somehow be another chapter left in McGregor vs Poirier? Then we get to Conor. T’s head says Max. His heart says Conor. But if the best version of Conor McGregor turns up, T reckons Conor beats Max Holloway. Fair enough. Then things start going downhill 😂 Dana White vs Eddie Hearn gets personal. Who actually wins if these two decide to stop talking and throw hands? And what the hell is really going on behind the scenes as Eddie and Dana start moving fighters around like chess pieces? We get into Usyk vacating his belts, Rafael Fiziev getting back in the win column and whether there’s another big fight waiting for Dustin Poirier if he decides retirement isn’t for him. Then the Fan Questions arrive. Is 28 too old to make the jump from boxing into MMA? What’s harder, 80 minutes of rugby or 25 minutes locked inside a cage? Who becomes Australia’s next UFC champion? Which retired fighter would you bring back in their prime? Is the UFC becoming entertainment first and sport second? And then Carlos from São Paulo asks one simple question. Which UFC champion loses next? Tanera’s answer? Islam Makhachev. And apparently Ian Garry is the man to do it. By decision. Yep. He actually said it. 😂 We also discover that apparently Alex Pereira “wasn’t as good as everyone thought”, Royce Gracie gets smoked by today’s ranked fighters and when it comes to the toughest Pacific Island fighter ever, there’s only one answer. MARK HUNT. Episode 6 of Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera. Come for the sport. Stay to see what ridiculous shit T says next 😂

5 CIRYL GANE ON THE MOUNT RUSHMORE?! T HAS LOST THE PLOT
Big T had a whole week to think about his Ciryl Gane take. A whole week to read the comments. A whole week to reconsider. So naturally he came back and made it worse 😂 Episode 5 starts with what sounds like an apology before T announces he’s apologising to absolutely nobody and TRIPLES DOWN on Ciryl Gane belonging on the heavyweight Mount Rushmore. Then somehow Jon Jones ends up getting kicked off the mountain before Gane 😂 From there we actually attempt to talk about the rest of sport. Navajo Stirling gets it done and we ask how far the Kiwi can genuinely go. Manel Kape gets another big win and suddenly the Joshua Van conversation gets interesting. The Hurricanes absolutely HUMILIATE the Chiefs in the final and we try to work out how the hell you make another final only to get pumped by 60. Then it’s State of Origin, questionable calls, a decider at Suncorp and the usual Queensland vs NSW carry on. And of course Conor McGregor is never far away. If Conor gets through Max Holloway, does he chase Gaethje? Islam? Or is Paddy Pimblett actually the fight that makes the most sense? Then the cousins take over with Fan Questions, including whether MMA has too many cosplay fans, whether Tom Aspinall is already being overrated and, once again, forcing T to defend the bloody Ciryl Gane Mount Rushmore take 😂 Shubz is the couch potato. Tanera is apparently the expert. You can decide whether that title survives Episode 5. 😂 Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera.

4 THE WHITE HOUSE UFC CARD ACTUALLY LIVED UP TO THE HYPE 😂
Well… they actually bloody did it. UFC at the White House. We’ve talked about this card for weeks and somehow the actual event was even more cooked than we expected. Shubz had to bugger off to his real job before the main event 😂 while T got to sit back and watch the whole thing unfold. Seven fights. Seven finishes. We go through the card and talk about who actually showed up when the lights were brightest. Mauricio Ruffy looked ridiculous. Bo Nickal got it done but Shubz still reckons the brother needs a bit more chat 😂 Derrick Lewis looked every bit of his age while Josh Hokit showed why heavyweight might have another serious problem coming through. Sean O’Malley reminded everyone why people still give a shit every time he fights. Then we get to Ciryl Gane vs Alex Pereira and those elbows 👀 Legal? Dodgy? Somewhere in between? And then there’s Justin Gaethje. Massive underdog. Walking through the White House draped in the American flag. Reading the Constitution. Then goes out there and pulls off one of the wildest wins we’ve seen. T reckons he bloody told everyone it was happening too, so unfortunately we have to let him enjoy this one 😂 We also somehow end up talking Roman Reigns, the Knicks, Donald Trump, Rocky movies and whether this whole thing was the greatest sporting spectacle we’ve ever watched. Then we finish with the fan questions and the arguments continue from there. Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera. Episode 5.

3 SEAN STRICKLAND BANNED?! UFC CONTROVERSY ERUPTS
🔥 FIGHT CAP SPORTS EPISODE 3 IS HERE! Shubz & Tanera are back and somehow a combat sports podcast ends up talking UFC, Australian MMA, freedom of speech, Dragon Ball Z and whether Vegeta is actually the GOAT 😂 This week the boys break down Gabriel Bonfim vs Belal Muhammad and what Bonfim’s performance means for an absolutely stacked UFC welterweight division. Tanera gives us the inside word from Eternal 106 after calling the action live on the Gold Coast, including some of the fighters coming through Australian MMA that you might not know yet, but probably will soon. Then we look ahead to Eternal 107 and some genuine bad blood heading into the card. Then we get into Sean Strickland. Should something a fighter says outside the cage cost them opportunities? Where does freedom of speech end and consequences begin? Whether you love Strickland or can’t stand him, this one gets interesting. And then the fan questions completely derail the show 😂 Who are the top 3 UFC GOATs from every division? Jon Jones. GSP. Anderson Silva. Israel Adesanya. Khabib. McGregor. Chuck Liddell. Ronda Rousey. Amanda Nunes. Some obvious names. Some VERY questionable selections. And most importantly… Vegeta or Goku? Apparently this is a combat sports question now 😂

2 RETURN OF THE REAPER 👑 + IS STATE OF ORIGIN A COMBAT SPORT?!
Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera is back for Episode 2, and somehow we’ve already managed to turn an MMA show into a conversation about UFC, boxing, State of Origin and Fijian rugby. This week the boys break down UFC Macau, the biggest winners, biggest losers and what the results mean moving forward. We get into Alex Leapai Jnr vs Julius Long and whether this is another step toward something big for one of Australasia’s most exciting heavyweight prospects. Then it’s Robert Whittaker and the Return of the Reaper. Bobby Knuckles is moving to Light Heavyweight and returning at UFC 329 during International Fight Week. Is this exactly the reset he needs, does the extra weight help extend his career, and who should welcome him to the division? From there, things get messy. We ask whether State of Origin is basically a combat sport, get into the Ponga controversy and talk about why Origin produces some of the biggest collisions and hardest moments in sport. And finally, we build our Mount Rushmore of Fijian rugby players. Serevi, Rokocoko, Sivivatu, Radradra and plenty more names are on the table, so expect arguments. Plus your Fan Questions to finish the show. Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera. Real takes. Good yarns. Zero filter.

1 CONOR RETURNS?! UFC WHITE HOUSE, USYK vs RICO & FAKE MMA BEEF
Fight Cap Sports with Shubz & Tanera officially begins. For the first episode, Shubz and T get straight into the madness across combat sports. We break down Usyk vs Rico, debate the current state of boxing and whether crossover fights are helping or hurting the sport, and talk about athletes jumping codes to chase the biggest fights and biggest paydays. Then it’s UFC. Conor McGregor is BACK in the conversation, we get into the proposed UFC White House event, upcoming fights and predictions, and ask whether some of the biggest beefs in MMA are actually real or just good business. We also talk MVP MMA heading to Netflix, the possibility of Khamzat Chimaev vs Sean Strickland again, toxic MMA fan culture, and finish it off with questions from the people watching the show. No corporate sports desk. No pretending we agree. Just Shubz & Tanera talking sport the way the boys talk sport. 0:00 Introduction to Fight Cap 5:31 Analyzing the Usyk vs. Rico fight 15:43 The state of modern boxing 23:40 Athletes crossing over to boxing 26:52 UFC at the White House 31:16 UFC fight card predictions 36:40 Toxic fans and community rules 46:24 Fan questions and closing
