In the first episode of fikr-e-ma.ash, I am going to talk about The Covid-Pandemic situation that is continuously increasing in India and how the government is tackling it. But somewhere the government ignored one part of the society which consist of sex workers. Sex work in India has always attracted negative attention and at some places it is also considered a social taboo which people often ignore or hesitate to talk about. Sex workers are a part of the society we live in, and hence we hold obligations towards them on humanitarian grounds. Lacking any policies and schemes for such sex workers in India, the government often escapes such liability. But I think if the government is unable to cater apart of a society, it becomes our moral obligation to help those in need. I hope you and I, make an effort towards making this world a better place to live in.
