“What Kind of Podcast is This?!” (w/ Kevin Avery)

This week, Phyllis and Matt gab with comedian Kevin Avery! Kevin shares the highs and lows of performing stand-up comedy, and Matt shares his theory on how a missile warning in Hawaii forever changed Jim Carey’s brain chemistry. Meanwhile, Phyllis is feeling philosophical, and asks thought-provoking questions like, “Am I allowed to say boobs?” Plus, everyone agrees that there’s only one reason to go to the bank IRL in 2025: to flirt with hot bank tellers, of course! What, did you think we were going to say something like, “to commune with fellow members of humanity?” Literally who cares about that. Anyway, don’t miss out on this episode! Kevin Avery is a stand-up comedian and writer who has worked on shows like The Great North, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, and The New Negroes. You can also find him co-hosting the Maximum Film!
