   Film Gang Trivia

Not Without My Body! In this episode The Gang look back at their first season and take it in turns asking trivia questions about themselves to the others that will test their memories, resolve and friendship (oh my!) If you're enjoying our show spread the word and send your friends a link why not?! You can also find us on: insta/threads: @film.gang.podletterboxd: filmgangpodbuymeacoffee.com/filmgang

   Gremlins

Jan Brady was the original Keyser Soze! Just because a movie has some traditional Christmas music as part of its soundtrack, even if that music was not written specifically for Christmas, does it still mean the movie is a Christmas movie? Discuss! The Gang watch Gremlins. Does it still hold up after all these years or did it climb up on the roof, slip and fall into the chimney breaking it's neck, and now it's starting to smell?... nah, it's still good! (Even if the rules for taking care of your mogwai are a little vague.) It's the last offical movie episode of season one. But don't worry there are still one or two bonus eps to come :) Merry Christmas ya filthy animals! If you're enjoying our show please share a link with your friends or post it on your socials! Toys (1992)

This is not a podcast. Michelle wonders if she's foisted on to the Gang yet another of her old chestnuts, à la The Wind in the Willows or The BFG? Lucasz regales us with the story of the end of his and Kade's film-making career. And the Gang have another go at their new (and only slightly unhinged) Film Game. Join us as we try to decipher the low-res, Spanish-subtitled version of the forgotten Robin Williams classic Toys! Available on the Internet Archive, and nowhere else apparently. ¿Al menos es gratis, sí? If you're enjoying our show share a link with your friends! The Craft

Socks: A Real Minefield. Oooooh it's our spoooooky episooode! Michelle and Lucasz discuss the lasting traumas of watching scary movies. Jo, who doesn't usually do scary movies at all, joins the gang from beyond the vale! And no one is listening to Kade - as usual. The Gang form a coven to watch The Craft! They also invent a new Film Game on the spot - it's a good one! (And only slightly unhinged.) If you're enjoying our show share a link with your friends! Life of Pi

Octopus, puffer fish, and piranhas - oh my! We survived watching Life of Pi. A story about a long arduous journey lost at sea deserves a long arduous episode! Obviously spoilers abound for the book, the movie and probably the stage play, we’re guessing. The Gang talk foley, faith, phobias and phonics, and look at how the end of the book compares to the mmmmovie. How many podcasts have their own original score? Not just a theme but an actual score?!… Probably quite a few. Anyway, so do we now too and we hope you enjoy it. Listen all the way to the end for a little bonus music - free of charge! Return to Oz

From the untethered depths of Kade's mind! Michelle returns from her strive for gold in Paris. And after a break in the recording schedule the Gang return to the studio and return to Return to Oz.  It's like a blanket, but it's cold...and wet...and it's over your face...but it's comforting, ya know? The Gang is too cold for the cold open and they need better breakdancing names - help - send your suggestions to filmgangtheemail@gmail.com If you're enjoying our show, help to spread the word. The Boy and the Heron

Here's some dream analysis for you...your dream stinks! Lucasz discusses the joys of breathing, Jo dreams of one day eating things, Michelle is the thing she wanted to be and Kade isn't ready for space yet. The Gang watch The Boy and the Heron, but do they understand it? Spoilers for Event Horizon at 7:40-7:53 And The Martian at 9:40-11:35 If you're enjoying our show share a link with your friends! Babe: Pig in the City

It's already a cult classic. You're just not in the cult. The Gang try to uncover what Big Banana doesn't want you to know, and Michelle is thinking of Charlotte's Web. This week we're are watching Babe, Collin, Pig in the City. SPOILER WARNING: Predestination (2014), is a very entertaining movie, and is HIGHLY  SPOILERABLE!!! If you haven't seen it, knowing anything about it is potentially a spoiler. It's dangerous to even be talking about it here! Right now I'm typing with one hand while biting my nails on my other hand! We recommend watching it with no prior knowledge. However we do talk about it a lot during this episode's Film Game from:1:17:41 - 1:29:02  With MAJOR SPOILERS from: 1:19:50 - 1:28:07 You've been warned! If you're enjoying our show, help to spread the word. Tell your friends or even an acquaintance or two. Send them a link! Dune (1984)

I vowed never to regret my decision! In an episode that is really probably only for Lucasz, he makes the Gang watch David Lynch's Dune from 1984. It's a lot to take in for a first viewing but Lucasz is here to explain the world of Dune and answer all their questions. Jo queries - what it was even about?! Michelle wonders - why the dog? And Kade asks how dare you?! But has Lucasz discovered a plot hole on Arrakis? Are you ready to do Dune? If you're enjoying our show, help to spread the word. Singin' in the Rain

100% Talkie! The Gang sit down to enjoy their first musical* (pronounced mew-zi-kal!) and marvel at the hard work of a real couple of hoofers in Singin' in the Rain. It’s got Princess Leia’s mum in it. It’s the coke of musicals! Lucasz explains greatness for the lay person. We hear Michelle's origin story of how she came to the Lord of the Rings.Kade does the maths on smoking four packs a day. While Jo educates us on exactly what a hoofer is. Planet of the Apes (1968)

The twist is... lemon. We love dinosaurs and we love apes! At least we might if we could just get clear on exactly what they are. The Gang watch the original, and best, Planet of the Apes! Lucasz has read (read: listened to) the book and won't stop going on about it. So be warned: SPOILERS for the 1968 film, the 2001 Marky Mark version, and the original book from 1963! It's about a planet...with some apes on it. Michelle schools us on corny tennis movies, Kade teaches us about brontosauruses (again), and Jo leads us in an "intelligent" game of film trivia. Like what you hear? Tell your friends - send them a link! You can also find us here: insta/threads: @film.gang.pod letterboxd: filmgangpod buymeacoffee.com/filmgang

    Jurassic Park III (Bonus Episode)

The Brontosaurus is back! And so are we. Did you know that this podcast is a spin-off of the least popular episode of another podcast? Well this is that episode! And your first bonus for season one of Film Gang. You’re welcome. The Gang revisit Jurassic Park III (Scratches), the movie everybody is talking about. In this old format Lucasz takes us through a scene by scene recount of the movie - but don’t worry it’s funny. Jo does her best to keep it all moving and leads us to believe maybe dinosaurs celebrated Easter. Michelle questions the validity of satellite phone ringtones. Kade wonders if he was silent or if he was silenced (after all, the raptors do act like the mob, and that’s just one of the reasons why this movie is all about family!) And the Gang dredge up the old argument - were Alan Grant and Ellie Sattler in a relationship or what?! The Lost World: Jurassic Park

They should have left it alone. Hey, it's our pilot episode! But also the prequel, if you think about it.* This is Film Gang. Who are and what are we doing? Nobody seems to know. Nonetheless you are invited into the Gang with Jo, Kade, Lucasz and Michelle (like the way the Queen invited you to follow her on instagram (RIP)). Come and hang out with us as we enjoy our post-movie chat about nobody's favourite Jurassic Park, Jurassic Park 2**, and we try to figure out what it is we are doing. Film Gang. It's the gist of movies.
