[…] And I just, I literally just took the tunes along, you know, and they kind of learned the tunes. And then we tried things and messed around. And I added a few little things here, back here, some percussion and bass and stuff. But most of it was just done there. And it was sweet to look at the tunes from a different perspective with musicians who often play tunes that are of the same origin. They get there via a different route. And I mean, this origin was, you know, my Scottish family influencing me and English folk music influencing me and Irish folk music influencing me. And, you know, just to see at the core whether these tunes felt could be made a little bit more authentic, really, to the style. […]
