FILMTORO #88: HBO a Disney skokově zdražují a Apple rebranduje. Budoucnost HBO je nejistá
Streamovací služby v posledních týdnech zažívají výrazné změny. Jedním z největších a nejožehavějších oznámení bylo zdražení na streamovacích platformách HBO Max a Disney Plus. Ty již dříve zdražily pro nové předplatitele, nyní se mění cenová hladina i pro stávající uživatele s aktivním předplatným. Čím to, že se kdysi levný streaming stává v podstatě moderním ekvivalentem kabelovek, kam bude tenhle trend pokračovat a kde je jeho strop? Cenové změny ale nejsou to jediné, co aktuálně hýbe světem streamingu. Dalším velkým tématem jsou rebrandingy, které zasáhly Netflix, Apple TV+ a také Disney Plus. Netflix totiž ve svém uživatelském rozhraní již na první dobrou neukazuje své Netflix Originals. Proč? Zároveň je otázkou, zda změna Apple TV+ na Apple TV ještě více nezmate uživatele jablížkového universa. A pak je tu změna sekce pro dospělé diváky v rámci Disneyho streamovací platformy.

FILMTORO #087: Vzestup a pád Disneyho hraných pohádek
Málokterý film v posledních měsících rezonoval u diváků tak silně jako Sněhurka od studia Disney. Bohužel však výrazně v negativním smyslu, jenž se silně podepsal i na výsledných tržbách, které byly dost možná jedním z posledních hřebíčků do rakve podobných pokusů. Tedy pokud vše znovu nezlomí extrémně úspěšný remake Lilo a Stitch. Podívali jsme se zevrubně na kompletní historii Disneyho pokusů o hrané předělávky svých filmových klasik. Kde to všechno začalo, jak se měnil přístup studia k tomu, jak mají remaky vypadat a proč z úkroků stranů a zajímavých aktualizací skončil u doslovných kopií a podlézání mocnostem?
