[…] I think what you're seeing is at 20 meters, the athlete is holding a more consistent wattage across the 180 kilometers or the 112 miles, which actually suits most Ironman athletes better. When it was sort of 12 meters, you'd see those spikes of energy as they were sort of having to pass or yo-yo effect and all of that. And when you have a smoother distribution of power, even if you're at 20 meters, so your power average might be slightly higher than it has been in previous years. It's more constant. You've got better run legs off the back of it. So it's not affecting the run. It's almost enhancing it in some ways and making the run faster. […]
