Jamie Clubb grew up in a three centuries old travelling circus and showman family. He began his fascination with martial arts over 30 years ago. Over that time he has trained in a wide range of martial arts working initially in professional performance and then extensively in self-protection. He is a huge advocate of martial arts cross training, working a lot in combat sports, especially modern MMA, but - being an avid historian - has always maintained respect for the traditional arts. He has instructorships in multiple disciplines and created his own approach to martial arts and self-protection, Clubb Chimera Martial Arts. These days he is known for his writing, his cross-training approach, his realistic teaching children's self-protection and his strong advocacy of critical thinking as a learning tool.
