Kasim Peterson | Encouraging Artists to be the Best Versions of Themselves

NYC-based Kasim Peterson sits down with Finessed Media to discuss his come-up from DJ-ing to becoming Digital Marketing Director for Maybach Music Group to now owning his own label CRWN Music Group.

Kasim Peterson chats with CEO Alexis Rabadam on how he started his music career in high school as a mixtape DJ, then worked his way into well-established networks by creating high quality graphic designs and being responsible for digital marketing of artists such as Dipset. Eventually, Kasim found himself face to face with Rick Ross who challenged him to create a graphic for a new song. He completed the task within minutes and became Rick Ross's Digital Marketing Director and Creative Designer for @untouchablemmg. After years of success with MMG, Kasim added yet another notable accomplishment to his resume - building a startup which aims to bridge the gap between culture and technology. He now runs independent record label CRWN Music and helps artists develop their talents and businesses.

A natural-born leader, Kasim aims to show artists the importance of patience and hard work in the industry. He says that “even though you know you can [do something], doesn’t mean you should do it,” referring to the tendency of music entrepreneurs to try to rush their careers.

See video to watch the whole interview!

Kasim Peterson https://instagram.com/crwnmeking_
