Pornography will keep calling, but so will Christ. Each day decide whose voice to follow. </p><p>Choice is not about perfection, it is about direction. Christians often stumble yet remain steadfast. Set your heart on serving the Lord. </p><p>That choice shapes your marriage, your family, your friendships, your work, your witness… Good or bad.</p><p>The 30 days of this devotional may be coming to an end, but your faith journey continues. Recognize growth and surrender. FIRM | Day 29: Do You Hear What I Hear?
<p>“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”</p><p>– John 10:27</p><p><strong>Daily Reading</strong></p><p>God still speaks. Sometimes through Scripture. Sometimes through prayer. Sometimes through the wise counsel of others. Sometimes in the still, quiet whisper to your heart. The question is, are you listening?</p><p>Pornography drowns out God’s voice with noise, distractions, and lies. Slow down, quiet your soul and open your heart to his direction. </p><p>Often, His voice is not about a grand future. It is about the next faithful step. .. Be a better man, a better husband, a better father. Encourage a friend. Serve the kingdom. </p><p>Hearing God requires attentiveness. He does not shout to compete with the noise, tune your ear to Him. Jesus said His sheep know His voice. That means a follower of Christ recognizes and responds to His voice. Choose wisely. </p><p>Each time someone responds in obedience, their ability to hear Him becomes clearer and their confidence in His leading grows. Obedience sharpens spiritual hearing, disobedience dulls it. Freedom is not just about removing pornography, it is about restoring sensitivity to God’s voice.</p><p><strong>Insight</strong></p><p>Studies show that even brief periods of mindfulness or reflective stillness can improve decision-making by enhancing cognitive control, emotional regulation, and clarity of purpose. Stop, listen, and reflect requires training. Believers equip themselves to hear God’s voice more clearly and respond wisely.</p><p><strong>Reflection Question</strong></p><p>When was the last time I truly listened for God’s voice? FIRM | Day 28: Take Up Your Cross
<p>“Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.”</p><p>– Luke 9:23</p><p><strong>Daily Reading</strong></p><p>Following Jesus is not easy. He never promised comfort, He promised a cross. Taking up your cross means willingly embracing hardship, suffering, and self-denial for the sake of Christ.</p><p>Pornography offers instant gratification. The cross calls for self-denial. Pornography promises escape from pain. The cross calls you to walk through pain with faith. Pornography feeds selfishness. The cross calls believers, to live for God and others.</p><p>Taking up a cross is not about punishment, it is about purpose. It is about recognizing that real life is found not in indulging or gratifying the flesh but in following Christ wherever He leads. Each time someone resists sin, they choose obedience and endure hardship for His sake.</p><p>This is not a one-time act. Jesus said “daily.” Every morning is decision time, “will I live for myself, or will I live for Christ?”</p><p>When Jesus carried the cross, he wasn’t doing what was easy, but what was right.</p><p><strong>Insight</strong></p><p>Research shows that individuals who practice self-denial and delay immediate gratification in service of a greater purpose develop stronger resilience, better impulse control, and healthier long-term outcomes.</p><p><strong>Reflection Question</strong></p><p>When faced with temptation, do I choose comfort or the cross?
