Sermon on the Mount: Dealing with Worry. Matthew 6
Worry is something every one of us faces—but Jesus shows us that we do not have to be ruled by it. In Matthew 6:25–34, Jesus points to the birds of the air, the lilies of the field, and the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father to remind us that God knows what we need and can be trusted with what we cannot control.
In this message from the Sermon on the Mount, we explore what Jesus meant when He said, “Do not be anxious,” why His words were so meaningful to His original listeners, and how seeking first the kingdom of God gives us a better way to face an uncertain future.
When worry comes, we can remember: our Father knows, our Father cares, and our Savior has overcome the world.
